  • This soap is very good! I wash my face with hands, rinse off with water on a wash-clothe. Body temp water to rinse off. Please try n use "fair Trade" sellers cause the women n children that make this soap n others need to be paid a fair wage and not exploited...TRACK...If u can not find it use Coastal Scent dot com for black soap, TAMA w/Shea Butter it's a "Fair Trade" seller...

  • i have been using this for like a month now both on my face and legs cuz i have these mark on my legs for like yrs now..i have to say..its alrite, my face is smoth and everything but the blackheads are still there and so are the marks on my legs...mayb its the fact that its only a month..mayb using it more i wud see a greater difference

  • For those who say Dudu-Osun black soap is not real black soap, you guys are wrong. Dudu-osun is the Nigerian black soap,in Nigeria Dudu ose means black soap and Dudu-Osun is the brand. So do thorough research and do not just rely on what you hear from others. Many people have this misconception that Ghana is the only place that makes African black soap and that is so false. African black soap is made in West African countries such as Ghana ,Togo, Nigeria and Mali.

  • Thank you for this video!! I just used the soap and was kinda nervous wen it burned my skin once i left it on for a little bit. Think I could have used too much and tryed to work it in and massage it into my skin too long. Good advice! i will try it!

  • can u use it on your body as well? thanks for the review as well!!

  • CAN YOU GIVE ME THE LINK WEBSITE FOR THIS PRODUCT IF IT CAN BE BUY ONLINE.

  • Black soap fan 4life! My face has never look nor felt better than what it is now. No acne, scars are fading...amazing. Nothing else has ever worked as good as this for me.

  • Another thing i do is wash with plain water one day and the black soap the next. Every other day because it really is clarifying. Great video. Thank you so much.

  • Where do u get it? And u should cut them in pieces

  • Where do u get it

  • @MicheleSakyi There are sellers on eBay or Amazon. I just re-ordered 6 bars for $9.89 plus s/h. It's better to buy in bulk because it'll be less expensive. LOVE this stuff! You can also get the Raw African black soap on eBay, just make sure to check out their ratings before purchasing from them and compare prices.

  • will this soap also remove dark spots left from acne

  • I make my black soaps using pure all natural/organic african black soap. I add other skin nourishing ingredients to my bars. I just love them and so far so do all my customers! If you want to try them just shoot me a message on my channel :) Txshizzle, my company is Butterfly Soaps and Body Essentials. Thanks for your informative video!! People really need to know the difference!! Just because the bar is black, doesnt mean its the real thing

  • Oh my gosh, thank you so much. I have always used warm to hot water when washing my face but THAT'S PROBABLY WHY MY SKIN IS SO DRY. I'm so glad I watched this. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your skin looks beautiful, by the way. Positively glowing. And I didn't even know that those "soap-savers" existed..wow. Very informative.

  • when i was much younger i used dudu osun coz i suffered from rashes on my body and it was VERY good...but i fink they started selling fake ones and it didnt work well at all! so b careful and make sure u r buyin the authentic stuff.

  • I LOVE your head wrap. Is it a scarf of some kind or does it come already shaped? Your skin looks great, beautifull skin tone.

  • the head wrap is too cute!

  • I can almost guarantee that your ancestors are from Nigeria. You have the 100% Nigerian facial features. that is a beautiful thing. I feel mines are from there because of my features. Most Africans facial features are truly determined by the Country due to ancient tribal seperations.

  • Thanks for the info. Will try it again!

  • ARE U TALKN BOUT THE APOLLO WHO DANCES FOR iDEJANCE

  • How often does everyone wash their face with black soap? I'm curious!! I'm thinking about switching to every other day. I have oily-combination skin and I am thinking about cutting down on it, because too much of anything is never really good if you know what I mean.

  • @vivecarocks i was using mine twice a day for about 2 months. i just realized that's not the best for me. it gets my face very clean, so it might strip SOME oils from it. i'm going to switch to once every night, then something more moisturizing in the morning. that way, i don't have to use as much moisturizer in the morning. now having looked at this video, (4:00-4:05) i'll try cooler water and see what results i get. regardless, i LOVE african black soap. it's done wonders for me.

  • Great video! I tried black soap on and off, but it also left dry spots all over my face. I have yet to find something to prevent clogged pores. I will give this a try again with your suggestions. I still have plenty of it. Thanks.

  • The ones from Ghana are the best

  • @dame305

are you saying this because you have tried the ones from Senegal, Benin, Burkina Faso, etc or because you have allegiance to Ghana lol

  • Great video with a lot of good information. God bless you my sista!

  • I second that , I give it a thumbs up too! That soap has clearly healed and faded the black spots from a razor on my bf face. I have very dry skin and using this soap does wonder in that area that I dont need to use moisturizer afterwards. I highly reccomend this soap, it has alot of healing and deep cleansing properties in it.

  • that soap works great

  • Too bad you disabled embedded. I wanted to put this on my Facebook page. Not many will click on a link.

  • I do exactly the same thing because you can get a ton of lather by just running your hand over it once. I have raw african black soap from ghana. It came in a brick. I just break pieces off. I use shea butter right after it b/c it can dry the heck out of your skin.

  • Thanks for posting this. I used it and had the redness and stinging and thought I must be using it wrong and I have been using the method you explained and love it. I don't have this particular one mine is more chunky but this method is great.

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you. I brought this soap 1 week ago and it is amazing. I also have oily acne prone skin and I am 43yrs old. So you know I've tried many product. This is the best by far. I am light in color but I swear i look lighter my face feels so so clean. I had my son use it as well and he has acne as well. I brought my soap online I got 6 bars for $12 buck. I had the same problems initially but kinda figured it out. I will try the Jojoba oil as a moisturizer. Thanks again

  • you convinced me to try this soap

i have oily skin and acne prone skin

i have ordered this soap and am waiting for it in the mail

hope to see good results when i start using it (fingers crossed)

  • by the way you have beautiful skin

  • My skin is very oily and so prone to acne I want to try the raw black soap because I hear it work wonder for women or or men of color... What web site do I purchase the Raw Black soap from?

  • You can look in your local beauty supply for it...they should carry the pure bar for like 2.50 maybe more, maybe less. If not you can look on amazon or butters-n-bars(sp?) online.

  • Sooo 8 months later how is the soap doing for you? Do you use a moisturizer now that it's winter time? Are you still using the soap?

  • you have beautiful skin.....:) thanks for the video

  • Great video! i just bought some black saop today. its not the brand you're using though & i purchased it from my local beauty supply store & its 100% natural. i used it tonight & i scrubbed and used quite a bit and it left my skin dry, but after viewing your video, im going to try what you said because everything you said, it happened to me, but after the one use, my face did seem to look different.

  • I sell this soap on my site, and its very popular, same people buy it over and over again. And its made in Nigeria, thank you for taking time to explain its use.

  • Im glad that soap is working for you ,but thats not real black soap.. Real balck soap does not come in a bar form cause it cant be liquidfied it only comes in clumps thats the real black soap

  • @CeasarKing10000 yea true...

  • Uhm sir..that's where your wrong. The soap is made from Nigeria (this particular brand) and the thing that makes the soap black is the camwood thank you very much so you can melt it together. But if I may ask, where do you think black soap comes from.?

  • LOL!!! well if you think its real then keep using it,but if you do just a little research you will see that it never comes in bar form ever!! the Raw african black soap i buy from ghana comes in clumps or if you buy it by the pound comes in a cylinder type shape and its never ever black, its more of a do-do brown color

  • Lol..it isn't black, it's brown. And, it works for me at least. Anyway, where do you buy yours from like do you go to Ghana and buy it, like I went to Nigeria to buy mines, or did you get it via a web store.?

  • just saying you guys...u have to get the ones imported from africa...its not that hard to find on the internet but thats the REAL stuff. be carful cuz theres lots of fake black soaps lol..i bought one and got supper mad!...what she got is ok too tho!

  • RAW African black soap is the best.... I'm lookin in to getting some this weekend. Updates soon. :0)

  • ... i've been hearing that alot! i got one but its not raw so im about to order one soon... let me know how it works for you!

  • I Picked up some of the RAW African black soap yesterday.... So far so good it's really nice and looks kinda like old cooked oatmeal!! Very different from my bar .... it's lovely! I will be doing a vid after I have used it for a while!

  • thank you sooo much!

  • @apollosmomma that's the real one...

  • they put it in a bar form..it still works tho

  • @Qtee4eva16 the black soap she has in this video is from africa (dudu osun)..my home country nigeria..we've been using it since i was little and was happy to find it in the u.s... it is just in a pretty package but its the real deal and it is all natural

  • @Qtee4eva16

Here are some brands I know that sell it:

    alaffia

    african fair trade society

  • Tranzylove1...OMG my daughter is allergic to cold temps too. We asked a doctor could this be and he didnt know what we were talking about. Is there a name for the condition? I'd like to research it. Thanks!

  • i cant wash my face wit cold water or else i would break out in hives...i'm allergic to cold temps...and i have very dry skin so i might have to get a very good lotion before i use it..any suggestions on a good mostrizer

  • Your skin is actually very beautiful Queen! I commend you for continuing to use the product after the initial reaction. That was very courageous! Thanks for sharing your experience! Peace & Blessings!

  • i used it for a few days and it irritated my skin but ima continue using it to see if it will really work...since i have a lot of dark scars on one side of my face

  • i have some dark spots too. I'm a little darker than the lady on the video. but try using it once a day if it's irritating. I have oily skin, so it REALLY Helps me. I think it really works for oily skin really well. my face is smoooooooooth. lol

  • Dudu osun can be very harsh on the skin for everyday use!!!

  • yea true. BUt c i have really oily skin so me using it 2x a day works WONDERS!! IT really balances the ph in your skin.(well mine anyway) makes my face SMOOOTH

  • TRUE 100% black soap does NOT have all of those ingredients in it. You have to be very careful what you put on your face.,

  • Do you know where i can get pure black soap from? I bought some from a woman in the mall that owns an African shop. It is a big solid piece that i have to actually cut and mix with water. Looks like how shea butter looks when it is in the solid form. Stopped using it a long time ago only because i didn't know if it was pure. Sure looks like it might be though (lol).

  • What city & state do you live in? Sorry for taking so long to get back in touch with you.

  • go to a big beauty supply store like the ones that asians work at...not tryna be racist...but the one we have here has a GIANT african product aisle.

  • I love your voice...you're so calm and easy going. thank you for this review Xo

  • You do have beautiful skin sista, Beautiful skin.

  • one quesion, is the lather light brown in colour?or should it be clear, cos mine is brown.

  • mine is brown too

  • I just bought my first bar...I'mm see how it goes!!

  • should my dudu osun soap have glyercin as one of its ingredients

  • Your skin looks great to me!!!

Im on accutane now {Second course, second month - ugh, and I'm 15!} Wish I had skin like yours, fair complexion even skin tone and acne free. lol

  • sstupidssmile ~ Sweetie let me tell ya my skin is FAR FROM GREAT! lol! the camera kinda hides some of the flaws of my skin. How is the Accutane working for you? remember to be gentle with your skin....

the skin you have may not be PERFECT but it is perfect for YOU ! :0)

  • Thanks for the comment!

Accutane is working so-so..I just hope it starts to get better...last time It didn't take long at all for it to start kicking in. Now it seems like it's taking forever!

I'm trying to be as gentle as I can with my skin...cetaphil cleanser and lotion is ALL that I'm using!

    Thanks again :)

  • I also went on accutaine twice. That was 6yrs ago. gOOD LUCK!

  • How has it worked for you? {The second time around} & How is your skin now?!

    Thanks :)

  • i used it and it dried my face out soo much... i started using it again recently and same problem.. very flaky skin

ill use it with less soap and cool water this time.. by cool do you mean actually cold? or just less than warm?

  • khaltire ~ I'm glad you're giving it another try.... less than warm... as cold/cool as you can take it!

  • HI! I just wanted to say for the 100th time, i love this freaking soap!!!!! I have oily skin, and it REALLY works for me. this is the ONLY thing i have used that really clears my skin up!

  • Thanks for this vid!! i jus got this soap..i bought it from amazon and i had no clue of how to use it so thanks and am soo excited to use it!!! :)

  • apollosmomma is the dudu osun black soap still working well for you???

  • do they really put dye in the DUDU OSUN black soap??????

  • 2coolV~ the color comes from the plam ash.

  • hey, is the dudu osun black soap still working well for you??

  • where is the best place to order raw black soap online

  • tryin to post.....

  • 2coolV~ I didn't buy my soaps online so I can't recommend a site, but amazon . com has pretty good prices!!

  • You could buy it from hosiaonline.

  • What is your skin type?

  • I guess it would be normal /dry spots. with mild acne.

  • omg thats my exact skin type "normal to dry"....and i recently saw this soap in my local indian shop....am offf to buy it now!!!! HOPE IT WORKS!!

  • ... kinda sensitive.

  • i heard alot of bad reviews about this soap about how it dries out your skin horribly. I wanna buy it but at the same time i dont want it to dry out my face

  • Some of them will. You are better off with using raw african black soap and using raw unrefined shea butter as a moisturizer. I've used it for years and it's awesome!!

  • omg i love u!!! u remind me of somebody

  • Black soap always dries out my skin.

Shea butter soap works better for me.

  • OK! So I'm soooooooo grateful you made this video because everything you WERE doing wrong I am CURRENTLY doing wrong. I'm using way too much soap and hot water and my face is a DRY HOT MESS. OMG! I was about to throw this soap in the trash! but I'll give it another try. THANKS for the tips!

Oh, and I see you don't use a moisture but I was wondering if you had an all natural suggestion?

  • OMG! really?LOL! You know what sometimes it's NOT the Product it's the way WE use them!! I hope you get better results. ..for a natural soother and moisture sealer you might wanna try two small drops of Jojoba oil in the palm of your hand, then rub them together and gently pat your freshly WASHED face( while your skin is still damp)... this oil is VERY light and natural!!!

  • Dudu-osun does add a few more ingredients but I still liked it, but I use the PURE RAW black soap, it has no shape and is very soft almost clay like, and lighter in color, looks like tan marble stone and thats its purest form.

  • Yes I do as well. RAW is a lot better!

  • I use it, i love it, i swear on my skin by it, it can be a little harsh by using it too often but if works wonders on your skin, every other day is good....also I recommend using pure aloe from the plant itself at night, you can get an aloe vera plant at Home Depot ($4), Lowes, Trader Joes($5) very good for healing the skin it heals at a rate of 30% more than if you let a scar heal by itself AND ITS ALL NATURAL and very cheap and works 100x better than any chemical product I used to use.

  • Aloe Vera is amazing. I had burned myself a few years back with a hot sugary substance, the burn was on my face so a lot of dermatologist were telling me I was going to be scarred for life. My mom is into holistic medicine and she recommended me one of her doctors. She gave me a aloe vera plant and it cleared me up. The scar was at least a inch in a half long and wide. After I used the plant for a few days I started to see an incredible difference. The plant is amazing.

  • black soap unadulterated(sp?) is actually brown. However you can add items to it for extra benefits, it is the additional products that turn it darker. So don't worry about who is calling what real. the only artificial thing I saw in the ingredients was fragrance, the very last thing listed, which means there is very little of it. so enjoy your product.

  • this soap is AMAZING!!! I have oily/acne prone skin, and it keeps my skin really really smooth, and keeps the oil in balance. I used it last night and the next morning my skin is STILL SMOOTH

  • My son can't swim in chlorine because his skin dries out. It gets a rash. I honestly used the Dudu soap, it cleared it up. Honest. I used it on him 2x and it cleared up. I have eczema, it cleared that up. I don't know. My experience with it is good. It honestly and truly worked for us.

  • Dudu-osun isn't the real African Black Soap. The real kind isn't even black. The soap is chemically altered and dyed to get the black color. Companies use bad vegetable oils and other stuff to make it, so it isn't really black soap anymore and doesn't have the healing properties left in it anymore. Do your research. My stepdad is Nigerian. The real name for African black soap is Anago soap or Alata soap. Just thought you should know Mama. God Bless!

  • 7lyrique - I really do like this brand of black soap .... It's a step up from the facial cleansers I have been using I was not look for a magical, 100% this or that , from this place or that place . I just wanted a good soap! Thanks much for the info. Peace.

  • I have a really good Nigerian friend who says that Dudu Osun is "real" black soap.

  • @7lyrique actually, dudu-osun is real black soap. all of the black soaps that are made in africa are slightly different, based on the different tribes and environments around them. The only "fake" black soap is the one that is actually black. All the others are all "black soap." How do i know this, I am african.

  • @aaronjason1 Thank you Hun...that's what my point was, the dudu-osun soap that I tried was the color black and so I did some research to find out more about it. I tend to deal with more natural products, which is why I wanted to know how it got the black color. I understand that they are made or processed differently, which is why the colors may vary. But when the soap is straight black, it's more so chemically altered than others.

  • @aaronjason1

The important thing is the ingredients not the colour. I'm writing because there is black soap that is a blackish colour but these are the ingredients:

Aqua, Elaeis guineensis (Palm) Oil, Cocos nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Elaeis guineensis (Palm) Kernel Oil, Olea europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Butyrospermum parkii (Shea Butter) Fruit, Activated Charcoal

    seems safe to me...

  • @aaronjason1 So which one do you recommend is best? if it depends on the environment its made in and the tribes and such, which one do you reccomend hun? waiting for your reply x

  • @7lyrique OMG.i know ur comment is old..but.dudu osun is a real black soap..color of black soap varies..it depends on how long you roast it..tropicals..was just one of the 1st nigerian companies to put it in a pretty package...dont judge it just because it is packaged that way..a lot of people in d us r very confused about black soap and shea butter..which we actually make in my village..

  • @solarlolax can you tell me if the black soap by AMBI is real? Ive been using it and im not sure if its doing anything for my dark blemishes. I have still been breaking out so i dont know what to do ...i was going to try buy the big block of it first because i know that its natural.

  • I purchased the Dudu Osun soap this past Friday, and used it on my hair yesterday. I find that with just one washing, my hair came out squeaky clean! I got my bar for $2.50 from an Indo-Muslim store in my neighborhood.

  • aw that's cool! yall are finding this soap @ good prices.... I'm on the hunt now!

  • hay i cant believe i wasnt subscribed. now why is everybody soap darker than mine? ive been using it on my hair it works great i think im hooked

  • SELIMA!!! LoL!! Hey thanks 4 subbin >>>Lookin at u funny>>>> ahahaha ;0) I don't know maybe YOU actually got the 'real" soap everyone is talking about!I love it also.

  • For black soap, the first 3 ingredients should include a black soap base. I noticed I didn't see that anywhere on the list. Perhaps it is a natural soap..that looks black, but is not true African Black Soap. The try to trick you sometimes(esp with products like black soap and shea butter that are popular by naming other things that name when it reall isnt it) so be careful

  • Dudu osun still has the ashes added, this soap is much more moisturising then the ghana version, this is the only soap that has high content of honey n shea butter, the rest of the ingredients are even better. i was just told its the burnt camwood that makes the soap look blk and run blk. its still a natural soap made the nigerian way.

  • This was very helpful...thnx!

  • Cool, I'm gonna run to the African Market while I'm out tomorrow, so long as this gets rid of my blemishes

  • Girl I just bought this dudu on mi mall haul video. I paid 2.50 at the african store @ the mall. I haven't used it yet but I will take your information and see if it works if not I will try to tweak it.

    Nice Vid Apollo

  • va2bama--- hey lady! Really $2.50!! good deal!! let me know how you like it.

  • Finally a great review on a soap i use everyday!! you turly nailed it on the head when you said, take your time while using it & also if first time it fails, try it again & your see the results...u deffo gotta tweek with this soap & now my skin never gets dry using it...its great stuff.

Another thing to the folks who keep saying theirs DYE in it?? what ingredient is the dye!! camwood is what makes the soap run black!! no dyes

  • kvocalist-- Thank you! yeah it' trial and error!

... I think the color does comes from the camwood and ash.... Dye or no Dye It still a nice soap. I drink more Dye and chemicals in my DIET Pepsi anyways LOL!

  • LOL right!! folks need to understand that the raw authentic blk soap has like 3 simple ingredients in it...dudu has alot more and not only that this is the only soap that has high content of honey n shea butter in it...the lime & lemon is what gets rid of marks, scars etc along with the aloe...i aing giving this soap up for nobody!! great vids keep it up

  • nice review, i use this soap and find it is very drying

  • opp811- you mihgt wanna give it another try. Just use alittle bit of product, and cool water!

  • super great vid...i recently tried Products of the Earth liquid black soap when my Trader Joe's Pure Peppermint Castile Soap ran out...i'm not sure how i feel about it yet

  • WOW,i love this vid, that was a lot of suds Idnk

  • thanks Fam!

  • Thank you for the information. God bless.

  • you are very welcome!

  • Oh yeah, the authentic stuff clears the skin really well too. You'll see a difference in two days at the least. :)

  • Hey I just subscibed! If you want REAL black soap (because that still has dye in it and processed) get the authentic African soap. It looks like a granola bar. It's so natural that if you get it in your eyes, it won't burn. Go to Butters-n-bars on the web. They sell it by the pound. Love your

  • DivaLady2b- I'm gettin comfortable with this soap... know it is processed more then the soap you are talking about, and I'm ok with that. thanks for the website and subbin my channel! Peace. :0)

  • No problem! :)

  • Great review and tips! The skin should always be treated as gently as possible, no matter what product you use. Excess pulling, tugging ad scrubbing never gives a good result.

  • DonnaB63- you are so right I know that NOW. LOL!

  • i use dudu (lol)!

  • Ahhh natural DUDU! LOL!!
