  • Josels41,

Good question, you do not need a Realtot at the actual court steps, however, I would either get a Realtor or befriend someone who has a lot of experience in Trustee Sales at the steps. You will need a Realtor to buy what is called REO (real estate owned)/Bank Owned as they are sold in the MLS. If you go on your own; similar to learning to play poker, observe, befriend, research deeply/due diligence before jumping into this arena. Many properties are being sold too high at the steps.

  • do i need a realtor to buy a foreclosure ?

  • @josels41 Of course not, check your local county website and look at the tax foreclosures. If your interested, simpily got bid at your local court house. Very easy process that most everyone doesn't know about except ppl with 50 homes. I haven't made a purchase yet but have went thru the process of bidding. Got to have cash to put down, my county is 10%. Check it out and let me know
