  • Not as good as the Sucking Fucking Tree.

  • HAhahaahhaahHAHahaHAHAHHAhAHAhaa!!! You made my day (@ PlanktonBouy)

  • Plankton Bouy, you are so juvenile. Some people just aren't ready to be a part of polite, adult society.

  • says the 45 year old who has got a video called "Two Busty Hotties Get Married | Lucy Pinder Lesbian Sex Scandal" saved to his favorites.

  • Reminds me of 2001. I love it.

  • imagine coming up the other side of that hill not knowing that was there hahahaha

  • imagine walking alone in that field on a dark night not knowing this was there

  • Haha, that would be something

    Sounds like aliens

  • Yeah I know.

  • Imagine what a hurricane would sound like.

  • nice wind chime

  • creepy, but freakin cool!!

  • well i live very near Burnley and didn't even know this existed.thanks sis.x

  • My sis told me about this and I love it! This is a great vid/sound of the 'tree'. Thanks for sharing.

  • Its a series of tubes!

  • lmao, good call.

  • That was intense.

  • Totally sounds like the music from 2001 space oddessy

  • holy crap. great catch.

  • sounds like something from Half Life or Zelda

  • lol sounds like the duengons in ocernia of time!

  • sounds like lost voices of an oprah..

  • lolol

  • Man, I didn't realise Burnley had so much countryside

  • Holy crap! Do you know where they need this? They need to make one in Tornado pron areas and trailer parks! The wind picks up to dangerous levels, and alarms go off. I don't think those areas have good detection and warning systems.

  • haha trailer parks

  • You could not only use different diameter tubes, but you could also connect the tubes to a hollow chamber that has some sort of windmill blade slicing through it. It would modulate the sound.

  • The diameter of the tubes doesn´t matter Brother, it´s different lenghts what changes the sound.

  • I think you're right. Actually, it would be the chamber volume that affects the pitch, yes? You don't necessarily need a tube, just a hollow space. A wider aperture would require a stronger wind to gather up the whirling eddy inside the chamber. But it would make a louder sound.

    I think that's right.

  • looks more like a tornado than a tree.

  • Those dogs do not like.

  • So *this* is the sound of nature...

  • I wonder why some of the tubes are covered. Also, wouldn't tubes of different diameters make for a more broadband sound?

  • Actually, all of the tubes are covered on one side. In order for it to resonate properly, you need to cover one end of the tube, otherwise the proper sound waves aren't generated. This is how flutes or blown bottles work. However, yes, different diameters would provide an interesting spectrum of sounds. Perhaps someone should try it?

  • OMG that is extremelly creepy!!

  • Cooooool!!!

Now add perhaps 100 Mw wind power farm up there and these folks would have a serious vid!!

    Cheers~

  • i went up it were propah freezin windy n evryfin && it dint make a fukin sound !

  • WOW - That's in Burnley, what Burnley in Lancashire? I didin't think I would be impressed about anything from the town where I was born but I'm impressed. I'm definately going to visit that next time I'm in UK

  • I was reading that this would be a great place for windmill electric farm.

  • Ignorant prick!

  • Thats great its not far from me must go and have a bimbo soon.

  • that's really eerie

  • lol nice where abouts up crowny is that? never seen or heard of that before

  • How wonderful! Thanks for that. :)

  • What an incredible idea.

  • It's good, a nice feature for the area which to be honest did need some work doing to it.

  • It would be great just as a visual spectacle, but for it to make its own avant garde music as well....top notch. We'll be visiting that soon.

  • Looks great - and sounds great. Would make a good film location!

  • You know something, I didn't even know this existed. Looks like me and the dog will be visiting tomorrow :)
