I miss the canadian culture/lifestyle. If I don't get a job in England in the next month or 2 then I might consider the offer of going back over to Canada to work as an au pair again.
I put my CV up on a canadian website and it looks like I am already getting offers to be an au pair in Canada haha. I might have to think about it if I don't get anything over here.
My friend, although I often make it look exciting and fun, you would not want to take two steps in my shoes... Life is what you make it! You can be having the crappiest and dullest time,
yet you can make it look better by capturing it, and editing it cleverly. When you made that video of the guy singing, I SO
wanted to be there, yet maybe you felt it was nothing...
My eyes lit up when I saw the tile of your video. We frequently go into Duncan to shop. Yah I was surprised when I saw "Sal-Mart", well it does look better than it's previous name "Salvation Army". If you notice at 2:40 there are a bunch of large vehicles parked on the side of the highway. They are most likely going into Tim Hortons, their parking lot is a joke especially when there is a long line up at the drive through, the vehicles block a lot of parking spaces.
I was thinking of you when I made the video, having seen yours... I don't quite get that Tim Horton's phenomenon and how come people line up so long to get in there...
So, the thing with Duncan is: You drive through it and have traffic, and traffic lights and mostly fast food restaurants, and that's it? Hehe, neat!
I know a small town here in Germany, that works basically the same way, except for the fastfood restaurants, there are gas stations and gas stations and gas stations. I swear, I don't get it what made all of them settle down there, but obviously it works; people tanking like crazy, I guess, for the 22 years I'vee been driving through there :-)!
Duncan is the kind of place that's mostly gas stations and strip malls and fast food all along the main drag. I would prefer a highway that goes around the town because the traffic lights are annoying...
I live in this town

The biggest problem would be getting Sven to visit Canada compared to England :(

The bridge(s) reminds me of the old railway bridge in Angelholm, Sweden.. Nice to see Duncan!! Now I'm hungry too.. :)

That bridge is probably the most picturesque thing about Duncan...

Misplaced? Cindy just ABANDONED it LOL. SD's folks live there, off a lake.

We were fortunate enough to retrieve the camera, and now it's making videos for another YouTuber friend of mine...
SD's folks are fortunate to live in such a nice area...

I could say something derogatory about that Duncan bridge....but I won't...
You didn't stop at the DogHouse for breakfast?
Bl4zz3r 2 years ago
We didn't think of the DogHouse this time, but we did often stop there on our way to camping...
This time, we ended up at that pub near Parksville...
