  • This WAS the best contract in tree planting... then Outland bought out Waughs Woods in 2001 and ruined it with their Walmart ways. None of you kids will ever know what a real great planting contract is.

  • sick shit

  • cool movie hansel.

  • So what you guys like dig a hole in the ground and put a tree in it, or what?

  • I believe the correct phrase is to dig a hole in the ground and 'slut' a tree in it. ;)

  • I know that it's per tree, and I know the Manitoba jobs are mostly for experienced planters. But I can't seem to get a straight answer; how much can a first season planter hope to make?

Also, for your next vid, if you can it would be neat to see the living areas and what you do during down time, and it would be expecally cool if we can hear what some of your coworkers have to say.

  • @tophergrallison 3500$/2 months on average.. some make less some make more.. you wont make anything in the beginning.. and many poeple quit thinking they never will.. but hang on and you'll make a load in your last 2 weeks... It all depends on how hard your willing to push yourself... I was desperate for money.. and in my second contract of my first year I made 5 grand in 18 working days...

  • Is this in the Whiteshell?

  • good video really shitty music.

  • Not a Deep Purple fan, eh?

  • deep purple is the best..

  • Oh, mighty rollagons with their max speed of 4 kph!

Which camp were you in? Two Man crews came to help us in Sask last season...

Cheers from an Alberta planter/tree runner/crewboss!

  • We had two Rollies. One was missing third gear, and the other had no Synchro on the gears so it was very much a 'If you can't find em, grind em' mindset with that one.

I was in Tolko South camp in MB

  • sweet vid.....

  • Thanks!

I actually put this together during the last shift or two of the season with my laptop!

I have so much extra footage, I really need to make a second vid.

  • ok cause i live in Mb but last year i went to ontario, thnx dude

  • hey does planting in manitoba usually require more than one year experiance?

  • With Outland, the Manitoba contract is tough to get onto unless you either have a number of years experience, or know somebody on the contract. Every year, all the rookies are brought by planters already on the contract. Sometimes vets come in from Ontario or elsewhere if we need people.

  • Second o.O, But really, a lot of people do ask you what you do and you always have to explain it lol.
