Gawd, I WISH this series was on DVD!! Actually, Colonel Gallagher's role took the place of the Operations Officer in the movie, whose name escapes me. Gallagher took over as the series Mian character after Gen.Savage (Lansing) was killed in episode 1/ Series 2 Piccadily Lily-his plane was seen going down and just blew up. The series is a GREAT tribute to 8th Air Force,USAAF. From an Ally, guys, thank you so much for what you did.It would have been impossible without you! Lest We Forget.
the guy next to jack lord is ken i cant think of his name its ken lynch 1:52 who was a detective in the honeymooners and had his own series the plain clothes man watch the episode of the untouchables with jack lord the jake lingle killing
@Spsuperstar there was a movie by the same name and thats what you are talking about. the tv series was based off that movie. part of the tv series was black and white but later it was colorized.

One thing about these WWII shows is that it makes us remember the heroes that made the sacrifices for our freedom.
God bless 'The Greatest Generation!'.

"Twelve O'Clock High" was in B&W for its first two seasons, but went to color for its third and final (but shortlived) season in 1966.
