Idk, i think Dee Snider and Doug Aldrich really did a great job.. I mean the drums on this are for sure awesome because its you know power metal, super technical and precise drumming.. But i think the fact that the vocals are not like Paul's or Dee's with the rasp that makes it raunchy takes my personal vote. And then Doug playing it like pure rock n' roll, but than again this is power metal band giving the perspective of power metal and doing in their own rendition of it :P Awesome cover!

@petplatypus It's all subjective. Perhaps 'Bad' was a poor choice of words, I just don't think it works on this song. I didn't like the drummers approach either. I like Peter's simplicity, but like the way Eric Singer plays it better. I'm not saying this guy can't sing, I just don't like his voice on this or any cover I've heard him on.

A few of their songs such as "The Oath" or "Into The Fire" could be considered Heavy Metal songs, but KISS' overall sound and style is dominantly Hard Rock. In fact, I would consider KISS to be the encyclopedic definition of classic Hard Rock, along with other bands like Van Halen and old Aerosmith. To call KISS Heavy Metal though is like calling Skid Row Heavy Metal, makes no sense. KISS & Skid Row are Hard Rock bands, Maiden & Priest are Heavy Metal.

Although I used to be a Kiss fan many years ago, this cover doesn't do Detroit justice. The harmonies were missing, the singer didn't fit, the drums were OK, but the technique wasn't there - should've used a double base drum. The bass lines were also too high.
