@ashestoyoursoul Oh, of course! We have here three coppies of Yo Yo Ma, playing....aaaa...this - some sweaty, pseudomusical, "art" piece, which is in addition а cruel mockery with Grieg. Do you understand that it doesn't make any sense at all? And about the research...it happened like that: for many years they were trying to become real classical musians, but it didn't work out, so they created a mediocre heavy metal band to be able to earn so money for food, alcohol and drugs.

@patrahilevlampiev Perttu Kivilaakso already had a job in the Helsinki Phil before joining the band, not to mention winning third prize at the '96 Paulo Cello Competition. He could definitely have pursued a successful career as a classical cellist. The Grieg has already gone through numerous arrangements, so why not a metal version on cellos? I'm not saying every Apocalyptica number is a masterpiece, but they certainly have been innovators. I'm sure they don't see their own music as "high art".

@patrahilevlampiev Dont be hating because you cant play as good as them Yo Yo Ma is not the best cellist around shure he released some music but that doesn't mean hes that good listen closely and you'll hear he makes mistakes just like every1 else your stereotyping is useless go learn a bit more about the band before you judge something that is beyond your comprehension so you can only hate it for not being able to reach that which is unreachable for you trololol

I think he was making fun of himself, since just before this they played a little piece of Beethoven's symphony nr. 5 and as he was making the introduction he said by mistake that Beethoven was "a classical gay" when he ment to say classical guy. He corrected himself when someone pointed out that he just put his foot in his mouth.
