Jay asks good questions, but the guest slides & swerves & analogizes & answers little. His earlier segment was better - which i why i bothered to watch part II.
I just don't agree with where this guy is coming from. Theoretically, we elect people to government positions to do the work we want them to do when they get there. And we pay them for it. If an elected official is not doing the work he was elected to do, then he is not doing his job. It is not my personal responsibility to do the government's work. I pay their salaries with my taxes and, as far as I'm concerned, if they're not doing their jobs, they don't deserve my tax dollars.
As naive as my ? may read , I just wanted to ask; If America (U.S.A.) is a capitalist Corporation wouldn't that make everyone "shareholders" ?... I guess that's why debt is created for the masses! Hmmm!
Profits are privatised, debt is nationalised. You pay, big companies get subsidised. A welfare system for the rich, those are a few of the ways it is known.
What folks don't understand about Obama's strategy is that it isn't really about the policies being made today. It's about Gov 2.0 A complete overhaul of how every agency works. You can watch the news, which is about the partisan politics of today. Or you can go to sites like govloop where 20K federal employees are asking for our help in reinventing their agencies in an attempt to make them genuinely transparent and inclusive. We will soon have a meaningful role in setting agency policy.
Wow, this guy is positively not gonna go there. He is one of the ones who is afraid to criticize Oama in any way.... I'm not sure I totally understand why...
