I acquired a trojan virus through an email which blocked my access to MSN Hotmail and the Pay Pal sign in pages. It looks as though the virus has been removed from the temporary files by using Microsoft Windows Security Essentials download from their site. At least it said it was removed. However, the virus has apparently made permanent change to the system to block the sites from showing up. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks....
How do you delete the temporary file? and what is a Public File? Does that got to got to? I don't seem to have an option to delete from the System Imformation screen.

look on google for a startup list and determine from the list and the list u have what your files are. to change your start up items , u open system config utility , heres how, go to run type msconfig and ok or next , it opens the sys cfg utility, click the start up tab at the top, uncheck things u dont want to start up everytime u boot your pc , click apply and ok, restart pc. this will cause u to boot faster!

You never click to close the fake protection pop up the close button could be scripted to be an accept/close button aswell, close the pop up with windows task manager. Be sure to get some good trojan removal such as malabyte or use a program that you actually pay for that gives you a hella big of a fire wall.

Vista has ran every program i've tried. Just a matter of running as administrator so that the file can access other files located in areas such as the program files. Vista does not slow down you computer if your computer, infact, it can speed it up. I know someone who runs on a Geforce 6150 with 3 gigs of ram. He upgraded to vista and his FPS went up. Think before you speak.
Only Vista knows what Vista is doing (and they don't even know half the time, lol :D)

What you should do is download this great program called Registry Mechanic. It will sort out and compact your files, freeing up extra room on your computer. Also, try purchasing RAM (Random Access Memory) at your local computer hardware store, or extra memory in general. It will increase your computer's speed and productivity.

If you want to identify a trojan from a normal program you can check its location based on the IP Address the program connects to (if it is trying to work on your computer it needs an outside source) and the amount of memory it takes up (for example, an audio clip taking up 126kb when it says in the description that it's 3 minutes long.)

som1 messed with my need for speed carbon disk cause when i opended it. it refused and nortan antivirus 09 told me a trojan tried to enter and luckily i done many full system scans and checked the history and lucky norton was correct

lol, on frostwire (opposite of limewire) i seen sims 2 university, it had 3x the kb as a regular song, and an original sims game has 3gb not 20k kb so i just said i wonder wat might happen, so i videod it, and boom a trojan hoarse was caught, i was like woo hooo i popped a cap in ur ass bitch! and then i sent the virus to my special vault XD

Basically a Viruses Steals Information, it's illegal.
Spyware on the other hand, is somewhat not illegal, a program that surreptitiously downloads other spywares, gives pop ups to make you download another spyware, or crashes your computer without the user's consent. Most of these harmful threats cannot be manually removed which is why most people download AntiViruses/AntiSpywares. Some are fake, usually going to download,com is where no threats are found.

ej lolz all viruses etc are located to OSDISK:\Windows\... so i installed the win in OSDISK:\winvista86\ - this directory helped me avoid some infections :P

Cool,,,I got the same window looks perfectly as yours, with MSINFO, SYSTEM INFORMATION, etc...But I end up to STARTUP PROGRAM window just staring, waiting for the Trojan Virus to wave me a hand to say..."Hey, Buddy, I'm here, a stupid Trojan you're looking for." every one says "virus makers are gay, they have nothing to do.... Bla bla bla" we have stuff to do, see wrighting viruses isnt that easy, but it isnt hard either, most viruses i can make are picked up by most antiviruses, but its not that, we wright viruses for reasons, me, its to pratice coding, i only make rats (Remote access trojans) and i use them on my friends computers not just any ones computers,plus you dont just "Have" a virus, you get it, so? too much porn? Vista has ran every program i've tried. Just a matter of running as administrator so that the file can access other files located in areas such as the program files. Vista does not slow down you computer if your computer, infact, it can speed it up. I know someone who runs on a Geforce 6150 with 3 gigs of ram. He upgraded to vista and his FPS went up. Think before you speak.

We have a Vista as well as the XP I'm on right now, and lemme tell ya, VISTA SUCKS! It's completely incompatible with almost half of the programs we were going to put on it, Windows Movie Maker doesn't work, drivers are incompatible... whoever came up with Vista has done a sin against mankind.

What you should do is download this great program called Registry Mechanic. It will sort out and compact your files, freeing up extra room on your computer. Also, try purchasing RAM (Random Access Memory) at your local computer hardware store, or extra memory in general. It will increase your computer's speed and productivity.

If you want to identify a trojan from a normal program you can check its location based on the IP Address the program connects to (if it is trying to work on your computer it needs an outside source) and the amount of memory it takes up (for example, an audio clip taking up 126kb when it says in the description that it's 3 minutes long.)

i found that sometimes deleating the temp files gets rid of uninstallers for other progs that r temp files like games etc.. so i do this and use the~
Revo uninstaller it will get rid of the files on ur pc that u have lost the uninstal wizard for n its free lol n very easy 2 use!
