  • My uncle is an engineer he lives right by me but I never get to see him that often ;( oh well I live in BC so theres lots of trains coming in and out a lot I think it's really annoying I don't like trains they bug me

  • For reasons that I'm not even sure of, I am terrified of trains. I have been, ever since I was a child. I hate the flashing signal lights and the blaring horn. When I was a kid, my grandmother had train tracks running right outside her backyard. I'd hide in the house every time those signal lights came on and the bell started ringing. Even now, my mother in-law has train tracks behind her house and I cringe whenever I'm there and a train goes by.

  • Was there something traumatic that happened to you when you were a kid to make you hate trains?

  • Not anything that I can remember.

  • was that you screaming in the background when this train went by

  • how old are you, not trying to make fun of you. now me, i love trains so ill stand 3 feet from one all happy, my brother is afraid of the amtrak and csx horns.

  • Aint it just awesome living right by the tracks eh lol.... I walk outta my yard and I am right there on the local CN line.

  • It's the BEST. I don't see X-500 all that much anymore...but it is so awesome having train tracks behind my house!

  • Only thing I cant get hold of is the scanner frequencies for the Grande Prairie CN yard so if I wanna see trains coming and going I gotta sit outside all day lol.....

  • They should be the same same anywhere else, but then again, are you from Canada?

  • Ya I live in northern alberta

  • x500 is a csx crew running my train.

  • my daddy drives those...lol im gunna one day too!

  • Nice to see atleast one crossbar left on those telegraph poles...its a site i miss along many of railroad right of ways in this day & age although on CNR most are still standing untouched since the 80's...CP actually spent the money to have the poles stripped of uneeded lines through out the 80's.Here in Kenora ON. we had 5 & 6 crossbars on them,by the time i was 14 in 1989 they were completely stripped to 1 line,Sioux Lookout ON. with CNR still has 5 bars though,it made the tracks look busier.

  • I think You are one LUCKY person! I LOVE trainspotting.

  • ah ok, well yeah, my baba's old house was right beside train tracks and the train woke me up and i was glad, cause i would sit at the end of the drive way and watch the train and i was only 8 or 9 at the time and i was in winnipeg and now im 15 and in winnipeg

  • dosent that thing like wake u up at night if it comes in the night?

  • Well most of the time it does com in the night, but I have lived near trains my whole life, so I can sleep right through them.

  • What I think is really neat is the sunlight that passes between the rail cars as it sweeps across the

    dead grasses in the forground.
