i must say i disagree. i believe we should reach out to people yes, but when we do it should be lead by the Spirit. before entering a place or making a decision we should 1st pray and ask for Gods guidance. and i dont believe, unless the sovereign Lord as directed you, to go to the club. b.c im sure now Christians gonna wanna go and misinterpret cajo and dance to the songs there and "preach" i think this can lead anyone to false doctrine. my opinion
God Bless you Canton, This is what God wants us to do, reach all people.. if they don"t come to the church, we"ll go to them! Of course..with discipline, knowledge and Decency.
He isn't taking God's name lightly. God isn't His name, that's who He is, a title. I am a brother, son, friend, etc. but my name is Fred. I Timothy 3:16 says " and without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." Who do we know that fits this description? Jesus! There is power in that name, and it definitely shouldn't be taken lightly
I love the song but and album am concerned with the "oh my G-d" that is what I see as an issue in the song. Gods' name is not to be taken so lightly. I am constantly encouraging the students I pastor to stop using that phrase and was disappointed to hear it Christian music. Love the album, but wish this was not part of it.
That phrase is undoing what he is doing by going against God's word even if he is repeating what someone else has said.
people this is easy, CLEARLY there is a problem or we wouldnt be here, the words to the song isnt right, jump high jump low! it seems that SOME people are acustom listening to junk! sometimes or all the time so they dont know the difference, read your bible, edify your spirit with good things + listen to music that comes from the bible! why dont some "christian artiste" take very good example from flame, trip lee or even lecrae, just saying! because we dont have a problem when people TALK TRUTH!
I am not hating. I'll be honest. I used CaJo's music to wean me off the world. He is a believer. I thought at first he was over stepping the boundaries with the club, with the explaination I understand and I appreciate that. i stand corrected. I do pray that the Holy spirit move on him to use more doctrine. That is just me.
I feel Cantons music helps christians who are early in their walk (babes). His content is simple and reaches them where they are. He gives them the "milk" of the word.
Overtime babes grow into mature believers and will naturally hunger for more in their music choices. They'll desire the "meat". Solid doctrine and more theology. Your appetite increases as you advance in God.
So while his song doesn't do much for me, I cant persecute Canton, because Lambs need to be fed too.. John 21:15
Christians in the club???...all i saw on here was people actin a fool and dancin and doin the dougie...was up with that bro...i like christian rap..alot...but wheres the prescence of God in all this...im pretty sure that the ppl that went and wernte saved still did what they would do if it was a regular nite club...im sorry bro but i aint feelin this rite here....2 Peter 3:17 read it
@squarebear116 speak the truth my brother The damage control excuse he used is ridiculous.. Romans 1 I am not ashamed of the gospel.. What Christian artist blanks out the word Christian.. Those who have ears to hear let them hear
The song is still terrible (lyrics especially) and it fails to glorify Christ. Come on Canton Jones! There are more important issues that your audience needs to hear other than simply "Christians in a club." There is nothing in this song to remind or up lifting me spiritually. Learn from Reach Records.
@SquareBear116 Wow... you just threw out some very wrong statements.
First, that you choose not to get uplifted spiritually from this song doesn't mean it won't uplift others.
If God told Canton Jones to do this song, it is an important issue.
Lastly, we(believers) and everyone else who does music(Canton Jones, Reach Records, etc) learns and is inspired by God, therefore saying that Canton Jones should learn from Reach Records is another very wrong statement. We should learn from Jesus Christ.
@Galatians112 Its not a wrong statement. Canton Jones should learn from Reach Records concerning Christian Hip-Hop. Reach Records is successful at glorifying Christ and spreading the Gospel using Hip-Hop. Canton Jones on the other hand, fails to do just that. If this song was playing on the radio, I couldn't tell if it was secular or Christian song. Which leads me to doubt that this song was ever from God. If this song up lifts others, I have a lot of concern. Where is the meat?
@Galatians112 well i think cj is crazy nice, , the track 2me is not bad not good; i think is a lil crazy to say is inspired or not inspired by God with out takein the track side by side walk with scripture, and G112 we can learn from other people like reach records!! is difrent to learn then trust. . we only shud trust in JESUS ! canton jones can learn alot from RR!
That's an amazing testimony. The meaning of that song just when to a deeper meaning and make sense since the air was cleared. Thank you and to other artist for being bold and repping Jesus.
Yeah, Thnk God U made ur self clear bro, People were going crazy out here about this song, we were all like! NO WAY, now u cross the line dawg!
But U probably meant it good, the whole idea. Just the word CLUB, Was a shock to Christian, Cuz we don't need a CLUB, the opposite of the word Church. Those who doesn't go to Church, they getting in the CLUB, and those who goes to church, don't go to CLUB. But still is a dangerous word, be careful folks, don't bring people in confusion, Do it like Christ!
Thanks Cajo and Rapzilla! I and 90% of everyone else figured the lyrics but there's always some people hatin' on Canton Jones. I posted a video for the song on my channel and it was definitely to most commented on video of 2010! lol but this video should clarify
They don' let the christians in the club!
