Stormwind City and it's new look in Cataclysm was maybe one of the few decent upgrades of the expansion. The main city of the alliance really allows someone to feel a sense of power as soon as they walk or ride into it. I mean, you could be eating waffles or walking into the bathroom and as soon as this music starts, you feel more badass for doing it!
Fuck man.... the good days of playing for hours so you could switch zones/use *x* item/ etc. Actually being excited as fuck when you had all the mats to make something new. Hitting the instances from 30-60. The list goes on and on

I really miss the old Stormwind and I really miss the game when it didn't suck. It was so much fun to play I didn't need an Xbox or anything. Times have changed though, and Pandaria is just gonna make it worse.... :*(

Vanilla WoW, BC, LK.. Played since the beginning, man have things changed as the years went by. My Favorite was gathering Gold to prepare for the 40 man raid in MC, AQ, Naxx.. Spending nearly 1-2 hours sitting outside the raid waiting for people to gather, buffing, tanking..wiping, preparing... While all this joking around, fucking around.. I miss the snowballs man, when first released they would interrupt spell cast and toss you 10 feet back.. Good times. But I quit after LK.
Around 5 years ago i entered stormwind, i was level 4 or so and suddenly heard that chorus, i thought a russian ballet was outside, was so amazing lol, minding my own business in the AH and hearing that for the first time was unreal!
man this brings back so many memories of the OLD stormwind, waaayyyy back then when there weren't any boats i had to rely on a mage friend to make me a portal to go to stormwind and i was surprised at it I am alliance and always will be!!! glory to the alliance.
1st time i went to SW was a pretty epic time, i was knew to the game level 6 or so and had joined cause of watching a mate play for ages, not really knowing how to do anything i had been playing for a few days without telling him, i remember running up to the gates and being so excited, then seeing his character dueling at the front. i was so shocked and excited. This is what WoW was back in the day, yeah i was 11 but i dont remember any one ever having a go at me for being shit! vanilla ftw

Every new alliance player that enters sw for his first time and hears this song...sees the statues and the guards feels like the hero that returns home after fighting the evil.....I know it cuz I felt like this when I entered the huge towers of this city
I'll never forget the first time I ran into Stormwind. I see those huge statues, the massive buildings and then that overpowering and majestic main theme kicks in. Gave me chills. It remains of my greatest thrills in this or any game. Wonderful.

God damnit i miss classic Ye Olde WoW , cataclysm has ruined the game... Plus WoW isn't about noobs anymore nowadays everybody is experienced in WoW, when you see a lvl 4 character doing quests either he has heirloom or you tell him "New to the game?" And he responds with a link to his level 85 super mighty character..

There was i, riding along my horde bros to raid Stormwind after burning Ironforge, Darnassus and The Exodar to the ground; and as soon as i set foot in the city, this awesome piece of music sounds in my speakers and i was all like 'HOLY SHIT, WHAT DID I GOT MYSELF INTO?'
As much as i love Silvermoon and Orgrimmar, i have to say, Stormwind is hands down the most awesome city in the game.

I would give anything to go back in time to when I FIRST stepped foot into World of Warcraft. When I stayed on the game for hours just because I wanted to explore the world and hear the music. Gear wasn't important, my level wasn't important, I had days and days of play time because of the people, the community, and the world.
Everyone has to admit, the first moment you played WoW, was like NO other.

@jmg1andonly Exactly right. 1st time I played the game was just amazing. Everything was brand new and no other game ever made could prepare you for WoW so the gaming experience was unique. It seemed like there was a limitless world to explore. Everyone remembers the1st time they killed Hogger, running the Deadmines with friends, the first time they got a horse etc. The game becomes more stressful as you grind, Arena, pvp, level etc. but the early days of WoW were carefree and are great memories.

I'll never forget the first time I ran into Stormwind. I see those huge statues, the massive buildings and then that overpowering and majestic main theme kicks in. Gave me chills. It remains of my greatest thrills in this or any game. Wonderful.

God damnit i miss classic Ye Olde WoW , cataclysm has ruined the game... Plus WoW isn't about noobs anymore nowadays everybody is experienced in WoW, when you see a lvl 4 character doing quests either he has heirloom or you tell him "New to the game?" And he responds with a link to his level 85 super mighty character..

There was i, riding along my horde bros to raid Stormwind after burning Ironforge, Darnassus and The Exodar to the ground; and as soon as i set foot in the city, this awesome piece of music sounds in my speakers and i was all like 'HOLY SHIT, WHAT DID I GOT MYSELF INTO?'
As much as i love Silvermoon and Orgrimmar, i have to say, Stormwind is hands down the most awesome city in the game.

I would give anything to go back in time to when I FIRST stepped foot into World of Warcraft. When I stayed on the game for hours just because I wanted to explore the world and hear the music. Gear wasn't important, my level wasn't important, I had days and days of play time because of the people, the community, and the world.
Everyone has to admit, the first moment you played WoW, was like NO other.

@jmg1andonly Exactly right. 1st time I played the game was just amazing. Everything was brand new and no other game ever made could prepare you for WoW so the gaming experience was unique. It seemed like there was a limitless world to explore. Everyone remembers the1st time they killed Hogger, running the Deadmines with friends, the first time they got a horse etc. The game becomes more stressful as you grind, Arena, pvp, level etc. but the early days of WoW were carefree and are great memories.
