THANK YOU!!!! I was looking all over the internet about how many CR2032 batteries it uses... not even in the Petzl website... Thanks! I'm waiting on mines to get shipped! and now I'm buying a lot of batteries from ebay. w00t! : D
You are welcome. I was very surprised by this light and it is now the only one I take with me backpacking. OK OK --I also carry a key chain led light that has a dyno and crank and is about the size of an Oreo cookie.
Yes it is not for every application but for camp and outhouse runs in the middle of the night and for those midnight snack in your sleeping bag and the red light for reading maps at night it is excellent
I've got a Petzl Tactikka Plus recently. It's heavier, has no protection mechanism for the LEDs, and it's only rain proof, but it has a red filter that you can snap over the LEDs in a second and all LEDs are going through it. So you get a much better night vision, but I must admit, even with this device it is still very spotted compared to it's plain white light.
Are you happy with the Plus? I'm am actually shopping online right now and comparing the two. I love that the E-Lite is so light and portable, but I worry that it doesn't provide enough light. I found the Elite for only $19.95 though. What do you recommend?
I'm really looking forward to buy this headlamp for carp fishing, and I think U have great lamp for little money... Thumbs up!

Have you tried the Photon Freedom Micro? If yes, how would you compare them?
