  • This was one of my favorite videos. I really respect your opinions, and I really enjoyed this kind of candid, honest, informative video. Good work!

  • Hey, ive been a cigarette smoker off and on or afew years, and just got into smoking cigars.. for my first cigar i chose Swisher Sweet Slims.. i didnt want a normal sized cigar, but my main question is for storage.. i plan on smoking one or two aday but should i keep them in something? i heard your suppose to keep them humid so i put them in a ziplock bag with another ziplock bag that has a warm paper towel in it and put it in a cabnet.. will that allow me to keep them till each on is smoked?

  • Hello B, You got close on what I'v wondered for awhile in the effect of taking the Cello Wrap off your cigars before putting them in your Humi. How do you feel about say a box of 10/20 cigars you have bought? Would it help to preserve them longer to leave it on the box or take them off to acclimate? Thanks for all you do for us out here in the cigar world. Hooker53

  • MAN---------this was more enjoyable than any movie I'v seen of late. With the exception of Red Tails. Ha. Thanks for this B.

  • Can you do a review on a frank Sinatra my way cigar

  • Ive been looking for humi beads for a while now but cant find anyone that has them in Maryland. Does anyone know of a website?

  • @MaTrIx848484 Heartfelt

  • @cigarobsession TY. i see they also have a calculator on the website so your able to see which amount of beads you should buy for your humidor.

  • Unless you are planning on reviewing cigars, the flavor profiles for cigars are actually irrelevant. You need to actually SMOKE the cigar to appreciate it and make your own judgement. This reviewer has a VERY similar palate to my own BUT, is tastes in cigars is somewhat different. I gravitate towards the powerful cigars. It isn't rocket science, cut it, light it and enjoy it. Don't over think it. Don't make smoking a cigar a sterile and "scientific" experience... Just enjoy it.

  • The 70-70 Humidification-temp recommendation is a myth. I HATE the burn and draw of a 70% humidity cigar. I'm with you on 65% RH for cigars.

  • @BikerBry I agree with everything you said

  • EMS wrappers are typically more harsh in my experience. A sun grown and Maduro wrapper is more flavorful in my experience. Kind of like how a banana gets sweet when it over-ripens.

  • you should replace those two idiots on Cigar Aficionado!

  • also how do you know your cigars are ready to smoke, how long to you let them recover from shipping

  • @9953201 At a bare min 1 week, but really as long as I can. It usually ends up a min of 4 unless there is some kind of rush.

  • @cigarobsession ok that helps

  • ok thank you very much, love the video you did a great job

  • with your beads are they small, about the same size that you would find in the little pouches that are in shoe boxes and electronics, (i know they are not the same thing) because i bought some and didn't realize they were so small and want to make sure i was not ripped off, also in a small desktop humidor (20-50) count, does it matter how many beads you use

  • @9953201 Yes they are that size, very small. Just a small handful is more than enough for a desktop unit.

  • @TheBattleChad Only if it has humidification and a great seal ;)

  • what do you think about leather humidors??

  • @TheBellocazzo Leather carriers such as finger pouches are only for temporary holding like a tube, just for protection. Humidors are not leather.

  • Have you ever tried using cat litter, a lot of people on the puff.com forum swear by it as a cheap humidifier. Your videos are the best.

  • @robertcox81 Yes. There are certain cat litters that are pure silica gel, the same as humidification beads. The trick is to get the brands that are only large chunks, not varying sizes or dusty. I know there is at least one brand you can get mail order that works well, I tried a couple off the shelf but they were impossible to work with from all the bits and dust, the beads themselves were not all large enough to work in any kind of container in the humidor, it was a mess.

  • Great video, should do one of these every few months

  • I will try taking my cigars out of their cello too. I was told that they would all mingle too much and swap flavors. For some of them it wouldnt hurt. Thanks for the vid.

  • have you ever tried a Cohiba or a Montecristo?

  • @TheBellocazzo Of course, see my reviews listing on the site for everything.

  • @cigarobsession But I thought Cubans were illegal in the US.

  • @TheBellocazzo Yes there is a trade embargo with Cuba. There are still many ways to get them with little trouble. Mine have all been sent in by viewers, I don't see anything special about them enough to go through any kind of hassle, personally. The non-Cubans are just as good if not better IMO.

  • I got a great deal on a hardwood maple table top humidor several months ago at a men's clothing store that sells cigars and after watching this I finally decided to take the plunge and remove the cellophane from my sticks.. It's been 2 days and my humidor smells heavenly.. I just got a 10 Rocky Patel sampler yesterday an did the same. Thanks for the extra opinion.. Enjoy the videos.

  • Hi Bryan! I really enjoyed the video. I too would have liked to see you smoking one of your current favorites during the video. 50 minutes would have been about right for a corona or robusto. Thanks efforts and keep on smokin'.

  • @handsheal Maybe next time. I really didn't think it would run anywhere near this length, I didn't plan for it.

  • Bryan, I have Xikar's cigar bar in my small desktop humidor. What are your thoughts on this humidification device? I am unsure if it's a two way system. Thanks. Great videos brother.

  • @YoungLou93 It is not, it's just the same squishy gel.

  • Nice job Bryan! Thank you for you commitment to the industry, your doing a Great job thanks for answering my question I sent in as well. Keep up the good work!

  • loved this video, keep up my friend lived the people saying toasted almond part, bull s@it lol great video look forward to the next, enjoy a good smoke man

  • great vid. would of been better if you were smoking a cigar while shooting.

  • I like your attitude when talking about other people! :-)

  • Like others here have said, thank you very much for taking the time to make these videos. They are extremely informative and I really appreciate the effort you put into your videos.

  • Great video! I learned a lot from it. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into making these reviews ;)

  • Thank you, awesome video. Would like to see more of these.

  • Great video, thanks! One thing that I didn't hear mentioned was this: As your cigars sit in your various humidors over time, do you rotate them? Meaning, do you move the cigars on the top to the bottom, and vice versa?

  • @DandJ1998 I do but not as frequently as most people need to since they aren't in a big pile. I do shift my drawers around in the stacks.

  • 50 minutes of knowledge LOVE IT!

  • I love your honesty! Keep up the good work =D

  • Great video! very intresting...with this gel do you mean things like Xikar Crystal Humidifier pugs?

  • @superpelic yep

  • This is very informative, thanks a lot Bryan!

  • Bryan, i jus got a desktop 3 shelf display humidor for christmas and it came w/ a foam humidifier. I saw this Oasis electronic one that is for only 25-100 cigar humidors called the ultra. Do you still think this would be bad for my humidor since it seems to be a newer device specifically for desktop's. I jus dont seem to trust the passive stuff i guess

  • @PJSeg52 It's not new, just smaller. Everything I said still stands. Like I went over in great detail, spraying your cigars with mist in a tiny humidor isn't a good idea. Do as you will, there's no reason to 'not trust' a passive unit, that's just silly.

  • @cigarobsession - i think ill go w/ the boveda system... this sounds like a good option. Thanks for all ur vids and keep em' comin

  • is this filmed in front of a green screen with a clean plate of your backyard?

  • @rcmonaghan huh??

  • Comment removed

  • @rcmonaghan He has some sort of filming lights (I think) which gives a clear image of him making the background look different/ less clear. You can see the reflection in his glasses.

  • @LeeDockBass It's not less clear - it was right after sunrise :)

  • @cigarobsession Agh. Psfft. Pshhhh. You know what I mean!

  • great vid, very informal.

  • great video!!! learned lots of new things!! thank you so much bryan!!
