I am sooooo envious of Cinderella in this scene! I would love to play this scene with handsome Richard Chamberlain! All of the actors are great!! Especially Cinderella and Prince Edward! BEST MOVIE EVER!
I LOVE This Movie.....I Love the song they play here, then again when John sees her dancing with the slipper.........Rainbows raced around the room when he danced with me!!! I'm a sucker for romance!!! The best Cinderella movie ever made!! Thanks for posting.
I love it when the King takes hold of the Chamberlain's Staff of Office, removes the cap, pulls out the hidden shot of brandy and just gulps it! Then he replaces the shot, puts on the cap sloppily and dismisses the Chamberlain! Too funny!
my favorite movie.... when I got married I origanally wanted a plain dress... then the lady brought out this dress that was sooo like the one worn here... it was the sleeves that did me in......
Always considered this the most magical scene in the film because of the staging and stunning choreography of the film: The way the prince and Cinderella first tentatively circle each other segues into a grand waltz, then as the tempo increases couples join in, almost magically, in twos and fours until all are waltzing in one huge circle showing off the wonderful pastel gowns. A positively gorgeous scene.
Please can you tell me how you got this on your phone as a ring tone? Did you get it off a website? I just tried to record it and it sounded awful - I would love it on my phone!!
This is one of the most romantic dances I have ever seen I love this movie the first time I saw it was at like 2am I didn't go to bed till it was over it is the best Cinderella movie EVER and I agree WHY is it so expensive and how come the songs aren't even on itunes they seem to have all the rest of the musicals it seems but I absolutely love this song he/she danced with me it is one of the all time romantic songs I think I have ever heard.
Vi esta película cuando era niña y reencontrarla ha sido un auténtico placer... Me sigue enamorando su música y por supuesto Richard Chamberlain.... Por favor, sabe alguien si está traducida o subtitulada en español?
Thank you, thank you so much for posting this. I used to watch it often as a child and had forgotten how much I loved this film. It should be remastered and rereleased. The actors, music, costumes, humour - not often see - such a magical production I can't believe I have found it and can watch again....Thank you.
I love this film it is the best Cinderella movie ever...
i dont understand why the movie is so expensive... does anyone know where i can get the soundtrack from at a good price the places i have looked it is a LOT....
This is my all time favourite film and I just bought the soundtrack so that I can 'watch' it when there's no telly around! It's just so beautiful!!! (Does anyone know why the DVD is so expensive? £80!!! yikes)!
Hi, I absolutely love this film too! I got a free copy of it in a newspaper a few years ago from the daily mail I think? Anyway I searched for it on ebay and they have the same copy of it really cheap!
"I didn't quite catch the name", how divine was Dame Edith? Michael Hordern and Kenneth More both seeming not to be acting but brilliant and sublime............the movie is full of gems.
Learnt of this movie from Frost/Nixon...interesting that David went and saw the premier this before his interview with Richard Nixon. Couldn't be more contridictory.
Omg the soundtrack to this is soo good, I remember when I first saw this I kept singing, 'dreaming of the night he danced with meeeeeeee,' lol!! so good!
i love this movie since i was 7, and then years later the dvd was availebal and suddenly the movie was extendet with some deleted scenes and songs like `I can`t forget the melody`! I remember taping it from Video on tape and listening to it all day long and dreaming
The entire soundtrack is available for download on itunes. I'm also trying to find out if anyone knows how to go about allowing legal purchases of music/videos, so I can provide both for the website. If you know of anyone who can help, please have them e-mail me... if not, help spread the word?
Well i found a full version copy of the video by searching throu bit torrent. Then just copied it to dvd. i still have it i could email the copy to you.
No need. I'm the owner of this account. I just want to go through the proper legal sources to sell it on the website for legal downloads. Thank you though.
I mean that one girl was partnered they danced then another girl was partnered then they danced and so on.They were also introduced while they sood at the top of the stairs. I should post my entrance. I will have to find the DVD now!
I did it last year, for my yr12 deb ball, the dance teacher taught it to us. why? because the place the ball was held at had a staircase where the girls would be presented to their partners. as they stood at the top of the staicase a spotlight was put on them and that music began as the girls decended the stairs one by one. Everyone had their solo of that dance then when all of us were partnered the group part of that dance began.
but by the time it all ended everyone was sick of that song. it was an awsome and unforgettable night though. I have it on DVD, but I dont want to post it because I dont have all the other girls permission
It's like the film makers have gone 'beat that!' when they filmed and edited this. Has there been a better waltz in a film since? Doubt it.

I think my favorite part is even before Cinderella walks in, the music building makes me think of a flower opening.
