I dont know if you have them in canada, but bissel have a system the same but the bottle is reusable and the mop part just comes off and goes in the wash. They are $16 Australian.
hi @Malitose79! love ue upbeat n cheery voice n funny comments on yourself.U r not only smart, but funny too n that makes u so charming from all the other bloggers.Do u have any tips for speed cleaning kitchen tiles n walls where these mops cant reach( like greasy corners under the shelving system and under the stove etc)? or when its time for professional cleaning but u cant really spend money on it.
Your video is helpful but you're use of the word 'ghetto' is offensive, classist, shows immaturity and a lack of sensitivity. It actually emphasizes how narrow your world view is. But, you're young and maybe you'll learn and grow out of it.
@Rosemarie04921 I was homeless from the age of 15 to 18. I slept under picnic tables, in tents and on kind strangers couches. Once I did finally get my own place it was in the roughest, poorest and dirtiest area of my town...we called it the "ghetto". I know what it is to be "ghetto", do you? Am I not allowed to say that because I'm white? You're the one lacking sensitivity...you shouldn't judge someone when you don't know the whole story. I think living in poverty taught me the value of a buck
@Rosemarie04921 I don't know why you are even offended?? If you aren't "GHETTO" then why are you even concerned?? I think her review was very helpful and I didn't get her coming across that way at all. I don't care for people who make issues out of WORDS. That's all they are words. Looks like you may be the one who is immature and narrow if you let words that people use affect you negatively.
omg this is my favorite tip...just this weekend i was trying to figure out how to do this..thank you so much!!!!! love your tips...stop using the word retard so much lol great tips. thank u
DidecylDimethylAmmonium Chloride is very harmful to humans and pets. Non of the disclaimers mention it as an ingrediant, but its there. they also ahve in very small print, a dog and cat with a circle and slash across it with the statement it may be harmful to pets.... just google the pesticide, its VERY freakin toxic!
This is a good trick and I was about to do this but I discovered another video where you can dip the tip of the bottle into boiling water for 10 seconds and the top will twist off. I had to re dip it several times before it worked for me, so if it doesn't work after 10 seconds just keep trying until it does. It's awesome. This is still a great video too though, because I didn't realize you could tie a rag to the wet jet and I've been doing that. So thank you for posting this! You're awesome!
im ghetto cheap just a tip with the wet jet i use diapers . cause when my kids were babies it was all the craze to have one and i found the pads where like a a diaper pad so i try a real a baby . and the diaper hold more water /solution then the pads
AAACK! I've always wondered how to refill those bottles with my own cleaning solution!!! Excellent!! Besides I don't really don't like the "smell" of the febreeze crap or the swiffer stuff! I also find the swiffer cleaner leaves streaks. Thank u thank you!
i have a swiffer but like you i know it is costly so what i did was i purchased a libman freedom mop which is just like a swiffer but it is a washable pad, you can fill it up with your own solution, and it doesn't take batteries and it works wonderfully! it is only $20 and it is the best money i have spent in a long time!
The only thing I find with the sweeper-vac is that it will not pick up cat litter, which is my #1 evil housecleaning nemesis. I'm still using a broom and dustpan for the cat litter, then running the sweeper-vac to pick up all the left over cat hair and dust and whatnot. I've actually ADDED a step in cleaning rather than subtracting one :( But ... if I do both of those things, then I use less of the wet-jet pads. Going to try using rubbermaid reusable pads for my wet-jet next trip to the store.
@phsteve1 so basically what you are saying is that in order to be REALLY, Authentically Ghetto you must be what ethnicity??? something other than White?
Thanks a lot for sharing. I inted to buy a mop-vac - but what deterred me those a bit costly disposable sheets. So your this idea is better I think.
PS I also love using Amway (don't know if it is available everywhere) LOC- it is my favourite, I use it in an old AJAX spray bottle- this loc doesn't leave residue, is very economic etc.
I just bought those expensive refills for my wetjet and it kills me to pay that but I want a clean floor so I do. I never thought you could refill those bottles yourself. Now I know you can. Awesome! You just saved me hard earned cash. TY!!!
Thank you so much for doing this vid! I have a question, what about the swiffer vac? Do you not use that as much anymore or is it not as easy as the wet jet or cost effective. Which one would you buy if you could only buy one?
@Orchidbaby77 I use both! The swiffer vac is great ro crumb and dust and cat hair! It has suction like a vacuum cleaner and a dry dust cloth. I use mine a few time each day after the kids eat snacks and meals...of course I also run my Roomba too 'cause I'm a freak like that! My wetjet is my alternative to a mop. I don't wash my floors by hand often, but I wetjet everyday...usually a few time :)
glad to see i'm not the only one that refills the bottles....Avon's bubble bath is what i use ( the same method) love the scents it come in and it doesn't leave a residue
Good stuff, I like to see people not being so wasteful and and using cheaper alternatives!

Cool. How do you replace the batteries in the Swiffer Wet Jet?
DivineDivaHU 3 months ago in playlist her
You can also run the cap under HOT water for about 10 seconds, and it twists right off, refill and recap! Works like a charm!

If you dip the cover in a pot of BOILING water for thirty seconds, you can use a towel to help you open the cap! PRESTO!

Yea, taking the bottle and dipping the top in boiling water is a little easier in my opinion, but the rag on the bottom is a good way to go
