It's good that for WIHAA we have quality recordings, but for songs like Beauty of the Beast or Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean we do not. What a shame :/

Talentless harpie. Her rhythm is terrible, she cant even keep in line with her own song. she pronounces words properly, in almost every aspect, Annete is more talented.
I am afraind you are wrong and inexperienced. She is totally in rhythm and sings without flaw. The footage is weird because the vocals where recorded separately from the mike and merged with the instruments from the speakers. The result is a clearer feed but unharmonized melody.

The truth is, neither you, nor I, nor anyone know him as well to say if the letter was truthful or not. That being said, I think that making public something that should have been said privately was mean, and a very coward move.

Tarja really worked well with Nightwish, and the music suited her voice perfectly. Fair dos to Anette, she had some guts stepping in. She can't sing the old songs anywhere near well, but the new songs are hardly bad.

I like Tarja, but I seriously think Nightwish is better off with Anette. They seem happier with her around and without her there would be no Dark Passion Play or Imaginaerium. Things happen for a reason and obviously firing Tarja and taking Anette happened to get them farther in their proffesion.
They wanted something different than operatic and they got it and they still remain the BEST BAND EVER! (In my opinion.)
So let's say no more about the two, okay? They're both great singers.
Tarja really adds an incredible, very missed force to Nightwish when doing live shows, It's too bad she has that "I perform with bands like you on the way to real gigs." attitude that her husband helped instigate. @CrazyKing570 Tarja will rejoin Nightwish in 2013-14 at the latest. After the next tour, Annette will decide that she needs to spend more time with her two children, which will be around elementary school age by then. This will get talk going..things stirring, and when its announced that tarja will rejoin the band it's going to be one grand celebration! I only hope they come to America.

Tarja never had the attitude you describe. She helped form NW from the beginning and was a huge factor in its success. Toumas is the one with the attitude and was highly jealous of her husband, and THAT is what caused friction in the band. Marco didn't like playing second fiddle to her either, and Jukka just went along with what he was told. Her only real friend in the band was Emppu, yet he betrayed her in the end as well.

Big deal. People's desires and plans change over time. If they hadn't kicked her out like she was trash there'd be a possibility of a reunion as many other bands have done after a hiatus of several years.
Now that that've made a spectacle of publically humiliating her, where EVERYONE who follows the band at all knows about "the letter", there is ZERO chance of that ever happening. Burning bridges is never a good idea, and in this case especially, was an outright stupid one.

NW previous was only #84 place in US Billboard Top 200.
Here finland ( where I live), albums are sold in different ways.
That top place means only that shops have purchased the album for sale BUT consumers/(fans) have not yet bought it.
Moreover Finland is ONLY country where NW new album is top.

NW was composed of unique and skilled individuals and performers. However Tarja's level was way too high and eclipsed them.
It was one of the reasons however.Tumas had an obsession on her and after she got married he became bitter and bitter.

I like Tarja, but I seriously think Nightwish is better off with Anette. They seem happier with her around and without her there would be no Dark Passion Play or Imaginaerium. Things happen for a reason and obviously firing Tarja and taking Anette happened to get them farther in their proffesion.
They wanted something different than operatic and they got it and they still remain the BEST BAND EVER! (In my opinion.)
So let's say no more about the two, okay? They're both great singers.

Tarja really adds an incredible, very missed force to Nightwish when doing live shows, It's too bad she has that "I perform with bands like you on the way to real gigs." attitude that her husband helped instigate. Oh well, nightwish is still nightwish, Iove um and know anette will get better over time with practice.

@CrazyKing570 Tarja will rejoin Nightwish in 2013-14 at the latest. After the next tour, Annette will decide that she needs to spend more time with her two children, which will be around elementary school age by then. This will get talk going..things stirring, and when its announced that tarja will rejoin the band it's going to be one grand celebration! I only hope they come to America.

@musiclover6320 Ha, yeah bro Tarja has that experience and voice that really made a powerful performance no doubt I'd take her singing Wish I had an angel or anything live any day, But she made clear her intentions, the band knew it was only temporary, the only experience anette really had was being in like some nobody punk/pop band, I feel she's just now exploring her potential so who knows she might shock the hell out of all of us someday.

Tarja never had the attitude you describe. She helped form NW from the beginning and was a huge factor in its success. Toumas is the one with the attitude and was highly jealous of her husband, and THAT is what caused friction in the band. Marco didn't like playing second fiddle to her either, and Jukka just went along with what he was told. Her only real friend in the band was Emppu, yet he betrayed her in the end as well.

Big deal. People's desires and plans change over time. If they hadn't kicked her out like she was trash there'd be a possibility of a reunion as many other bands have done after a hiatus of several years.
Now that that've made a spectacle of publically humiliating her, where EVERYONE who follows the band at all knows about "the letter", there is ZERO chance of that ever happening. Burning bridges is never a good idea, and in this case especially, was an outright stupid one.

Tarja, as the face of the band, obviously defined the band early on, just look at her and you will think 'whoah, nightwish'.
Annette does not have such charisma für a metal band, but i think she does a fine job and i do not see her as replacement anymore.
Think of it: You see her as replacement because she is only on one album, like a guest singer. But once there are 3 or more cd's with anette, it will be okay.

and studied Sibelius Academy in Finland and Karlsruhe'nin Music University in Germany.
outstanding live singer. strong , trained voice.
Anette = No trained singer. before NW, sung by an unknown Swedish pop/rock (AA) amateur band.
Bad live singer, weak voice.
