  • How did you ever find yourself in Mesquite, NV ?

  • @stormbytes

It was the next significant city on the map, and I had some extra time while in LV, NV.

  • @PatrickMesquite Well I tell you what..in 2-3 weeks you post a video of the "lush green" busy thorough fares, but first explain to us where people are commuting to and from via that empty lot! Again, you sound like a real estate con man hyping his dead town up. Post your own videos of a *busy* golf course otherwise perhaps YOU should give us facts, facts man.

  • Why doesn't Obama put all the homeless people in these empty buildings and that bankrupt casino from the other video. That should make all the libs happy. Nice Mustang Econ.

  • How do you build a golf course in a desert? Where does the water come from?

  • Maybe they can turn this into public housing

  • Again--great work....Mesquite has a population of less than 10,000 with no industry, also I checked the maps and no railroad goes through there so I'm baffled as to why they still continue to build homes, warehouses, and retail centers. Its amazing the amount of waste.

  • @grippygrip

Ditto on the great find Econcat88. This town went from under 2k in 1990 to over 9k in 2000 to 15k in 2010 (probably less than the peak). Yahoo maps satellite pictures date from around 2006-7 and Google's date from about 2009. Google has had most of the places built after Yahoo maps where taken. This town tried to build 6 big casinos because it was on the stateline along I-15 and at least two casinos are bankrupt. Income in this town was around $20k per capita from retail and casino.

  • welcome to the twilight zone.....

  • The construction industry must have been booming there before the crash .

I wonder what those workers are doing now?

Obama is coming out with a job plan to rebuild the infrastructure of the US,. More tax money the country does not have, no real gainful employment. The government can't really create jobs. The communist already tried that .

We need to lower the min. wage to about 50 cents an HR and let the market decide how much things should cost. Then we can start producing again.

  • @chuc555 I also wonder what those workers were thinking *when* they were building it. The workers had to have been scratching their heads wondering what and who was it all for.
