  • I am digging in a getting one, the way I figure its probably the best hand built hand tested amps on the market right now. I am super excited about it. Been playing 16 years and am 26, the way I figure I deserve an amp like this to match my guitar collection, I have some vintage fenders and ampegs but I want something modern that will get me some really good tone. I tried out the Egnater Tweaker and was surprised by its stellar performance for the price range.

  • I agree, although the amp is great, the research is done, give us guys a break! Just because we're not rich, it doesn't mean we can' play or don't desearve a great amp. How about a sale on Custom reverbs for a short time only, like two weeks, just so some of us not so famouse people can afford one. I's pay 3,000 for the amp But 5500 is way over any average musicians limit. Also, not everyone that can afford one can play. Some guys have money and just collect amps.

  • Great Amps guys!!!! Keep up the great work!!! Two Rock.....ROCKS!

  • With amps I do believe that you get what you pay for. However, I also believe that a amp company that wants to max sales as well as quality product would have a model/s that could be had at less than 2,000 dollars, boutique or not.

  • Its simple, you only get what you pay for, and these amps amps just ooze quality.

  • I own a few amps.. from old Fender Bassman, a 66 Bandmaster, a Matchless and I rather buy a vintage Fender, mixed with a matchless and all together will give me a tone much better and still be under the retail price of a Two Rock. Great amps.. but too much hype and overpriced.

  • Old Fender's still own these, and you can buy them plus completely fix them up for <1200$

  • When are we going to see Two Rock dealers in Dallas/Ft Worth, Texas?

  • Two-rock,

these are fantastic sounding amps, and the components cost a fair amount, plus the research costs, but that still doesn't justify a price of 4400 euros for a custom reverb signature.

You'd sell a lot more amps if you would lower the price. Many musicians searching quality amps would buy this is it wasn't completely out of their price range.

More sales = the two-rock name more out there = more profit in the long run

  • @fend14 maybe its not about profit, its about pride in the product they make??

    just my thoughts :P

  • Dear Santa.....

  • I meant dumble , they are simply the best and you can't tell from you tube, go and play em

  • I've got to say vie owned just about everything but two rock at one stage and I now play Savage amps but I have recently been trying two rock and there is nothing like the way it feels under your fingers! And that really good rumble sound! I can't wait to get one

  • yea their not cheap but if you want the best you dont get it for nothing. Two Rock amps are the Best amps ive ever played in my life and ive played a lot of great amps! Totaly worth evey penny!!!

  • Also for what it's worth, while I quite like this guy's playing, I agree that the sounds here are not a good inidicator of what you might experience with a TR. On the other hand, the TR may not be the amp for every player and style. Buying a TR on the basis of hearsay - or of vids like this - without playing one would be an extremely foolish move. I have a Tyler too - most people say "Ugly headstock- overpriced superstrat" I say "Play it!" When they do, as Joe Mloganoski says, "they get it" :-)

  • Interesting discussion - there is something that HAS to be said. A great player will sound above average through any amp, but will not want to play through any amp. An important characteristic of any amp is how responds to YOUR playing - how it feels. I have GREAT amps, but none as dynamic, responsive or singing as the clean channel on my TR Topaz. I can get Ford/Carlton sounds all day and this malleability of sound is EXTREMELY inspiring. Fender + ZenDrive - great but TR + guitar - fantastic.

  • ...in case @foshizRAWR never said it right....Awesome Playing btw...

  • as soon as I sell my kidney you guys know what Im gonna get.

  • good lord...so much negativity...

i think it sounds great, and if i'd love to have one! maybe one day i will...

  • This amp is not $8000. There were limited models like the John Mayer Signature, which we only made 50 pcs., that were a higher price because of the "collector" status and the fact that they were all signed by him, came with a road case and a speaker cab. The average retail price on most Two-Rocks ranges from 2K to 5K. Call a dealer or us if you have any questions. Thanks!

  • @tworockamps Seems the custom reverb is one of the 5K, so... COMPLETELY OVERPRICED... #LOL

  • @tworockamps, ........indeed! Getting a used Two Rock may be a better deal for some. It was for me. My first Two Rock this year was an old Amethyst Sig 50W head. Great amp! Next was the Custom Reverb Sig 50W v.2 head. Sure, there aren't many on the used market, and they still fetch a good price for obvious reasons. Yeah, there's indifference to the price on Two Rocks, but these guys put some time into these designs, sounds like a lot of time. I don't mind paying for it. The Best.

  • @tworockamps i looked on the two rock website and im interested but i couldnt find anywhere where you had prices ... i could look at the models but i couldnt find prices anywhere... any help?

  • $8000 Holy Crap! My Collings SoCo Deluxe Custom only cost $6K You're Kidding right? I think John Mayer has to put his mark on these 2'Rocks to screw someone out of that kinda money for a $1500 to $2000 Head...LOL!

I'd stack my Dr.Z Maz 18 against any 2'Rock...Simple Circuit Kickass Amp!

Guys, 2'Rock kinda reminds of MESA Tone! LOL! Face it Guys...veterans in this business realize what it takes to get tone and it doesn't have to be a 2 Rock! LOL!

(I thought the Mesa Compliment was Great!)

  • tone is both fingers and amp. but even this amp paired with some sloppy fingers will sound like shit. hahaha, an $8000 amp and shitty tone. but really though, i played one today and have an amp built locally that sounds exactly the same, i thought i plugged ino my amp. i only payed 175, a friend didn't want it and i knew the builder. my amp is a little more touch responsive and can get a little thicker. though it doesn't have as much gain, but i have an ocd pedal and in combo sounds identical.

  • @lapsteel07 cool story bro but nobody cares

  • Sounds good, but not $3-7k good or however much they are.

Probably sounds 50x better in person, but I can't stand people putting an amp demo up and not properly micing an amp to get the right feel.

  • They even manage to use the same faux woodgrain P2P board as Dumble! LOL

  • That's not the amp... but the awesome player. And btw my JTM45 sounds equally to that :)

  • @giorgiocesaroni

Hahaha, good joke. I played a two rock the other day, it doesn't sound anything like a jtm45 really. Sounds amazing btw. If it's worth the price.... not for me.

  • @Bulllly That's not a joke, I mean JTM45 can sound even better than this 8000$ head, It's ridicolous. And here it matters the hand, not the amp.

  • does any one know what kind of amp to buy if you wanna rock like escape the fate, motionless in white, or like devil wears prada??? if so please tell me ima guitar player who likes to play but idk what to buy since im starting a band

  • great player. man.

  • I went for the Fuchs & after 6 months I would do it all over...but much sooner. Slingers hear these amps with good players & are blown away. I have discovered a very high end amp only makes one playing better because I am inspired to do the one the great players have always done...woodshed for 100's to 1000's of hours. Mistakes are also highlighted which is a good thing, and for me personally I have never wanted to just sit & play till I drop. Life's short so I say decide on one and just do it!

  • i played a custom r sig 2 and sounded great.

But sorry, this demo sound poor, i don't like stating opinions like this, but it doesn't sound good.

  • two rock, fuchs or cornfor amps?

  • @rockboy8812 You could probably buy a Cornford, a Fuchs and cabs for the price of a single TwoRock... so you are comparing quite different price ranges here.

  • @hotlion81 I know the thing is i have never play a fuchs or cornford amp, i play a two rock some months ago and it was a very nice amp but maybe the other two are same as good as the two rock and i can save a lot of money. maybe i buy a vintage twin reverb and stop thinking in boutique stuff.

  • 2 Rock is just way over priced and sound average...

  • do they still make two rocks?

  • Just gonna put this out there....I know Tal personally and he sounds this good if not better through pretty much anything. It really is all in the hands.

  • Somebody can tell me how much gain does this amp have? thanks

  • @rockboy8812 42

  • hope i dont ever sound like that

  • cant beleive the place where he steps on that switch, he could have stayed exatly where he was. or just turned guitar up, you could here it anyway, but i guess this is session man rock and different rules apply like a demonstration of the demonstration instead of just using it.. i love taking the piss!

  • Are these amps modeled after the Dumble OS?

  • @fend14 Please post a video proving you know what you are talking about with regard to "Tone in his hands"

  • correction the best amp in the world. but yes very over priced

  • this guy shouldn't be demoing amps, he doesn't have tone in his hands..

  • My Guytron gt100 smokes these amps!! I would do an amp shoot out any day of the week!!!

  • very very good!!!!!!!

  • I saw Robben Ford playing thru a super reverb and his tone walked all over this amps....

If you ain't got tone in your hands, might as well keep them in your pockets.

  • Designed only for the super rich musicians, so if your not on high paying record label don't bother. Thanks Two Rock for making it easy to choose another amp.

  • My Lone Star crushes this tone, for 1/3 the price. Don't hear anything special here at all. Sounds like a very typical 6L6 amp. Not impressed with the drive channel at all.

The need a much better demo video. Even the John Mayer video sounds better then this tone.

  • 6k 6k 6k 6k 6k 6k 6k I really need 6K...

  • pffff niiiiice guitar playing, sounds sorta like robben ford

  • wish i had 5g's to buy one

  • great player,p-90 killin it

  • I'm loving those P-90s in the Axis guitar, sounds awesome and looks sweet too!!

  • Killer amp, great playing. I live less than 15 miles from the actual Two Rock after which the amps are named. Something more in the 15-20 watt range might suit the venues I play better. 100's a tad strong for me, but, boy does it sound delicious!

  • Oh yes.... Mine is #110

  • How does it compare to VoxAC30H2, top hat, divided by 13?

  • @vgw1971 they just aren't up on the same level. Don't get me wrong I like them and really like Divided by 13's but when you play a Two Rock you'll understand.

  • If you can afford it.... If you can, chances are your not a professional musician.

  • @rsl84416 so true!

  • completely overpriced... lol!

  • @bille77

The parts required to build something like this costs a fortune, 6k is a ton of money, but its representative of how much amp you are getting. People pay $3,000 for amps that aren't nearly half as good. This amp is a better value than most other boutique amps, it just happens to be way more amp than most other amps and therefore more amp than most people need and costing more than most people are looking to spend. If you can't hear the quality, then you don't need the amp anyway.

  • @lameduck83 how am I to hear the difference, without ever having played the amp?

  • @lameduck83 Hah.....I can't hear the value. Please tell me this amp is NOT over 3 grand. My Mesa Express will get all the sounds this amp gets and then I can buy a LP 59 RI with my left over money! They got a killer guitar player to make it sound like, if you bought it you might be able to play like him. Typical ploy for overpriced equipment. This is a very nice amp, but check out the Mesa Express or even a good Fender with some pedals before you spend your childs college money.

  • @bille77 You wouldn't say that, if you heard it in person. :)

  • I Want a Two Rock!!! One day... Great playing and tone! Greetings from Portugal, Francisco Abreu.

  • holy craptosis that was really great playing

  • Sounds great. Awesome playing btw.

  • what are the amps they have with the 3 way footswitch and reverb?

i want the classic type 3 (has that 3-way switch), but with built-in reverb. :-)

    ?

  • Is V1 or V2??????? sweet tone!!!

  • what the watts on this amp

  • how do you set the clean and lead sound?? it is amazing!

  • try rolling back your volume knob on the guitar.

  • Please tell me a custom clean and classic reverb video is in the works.

  • classic reverb is sweet, love it to death.

  • Im thinkin about getting one , but I cant decide between the custom clean and the classic.

  • two very different amps, i guess it depends really. The Classic is a clean only amp, if anyone asked me which one to buy I'd immediatly recommend the Custom cause it's so versitaille.

  • I was talking about the custom clean. I think you thought I meant the custom reverb.

  • yep, I definatly was, my answer should have been...Both are killer but I perfer the classic.

  • so I take it you have the classic?

  • no, but I have played it enough to know it well. I stick with my trusty Fender Super Reverb ;)

  • @Waterboy157 I know it can cop the JM tones , but what about the SRV stuff?

  • Ive always found it very difficult to immitate SRV, until I bought his amp. Two Rock are all very versitaille and are the best amps Ive heard for copying the old fender amp tones. If u got a nice drive pedal Im sure you could find something close enough to his tone that you will be satisfied. I know its probably not really ur style, but dont count the 10th anniversary out.

  • Definitely an amazing amp. I just picked up my CRSv2 (#222) from Gordon at guitarnova in Oceanside, CA. Incredibly articulate and the most beautiful dirty clean I have ever heard. JM Signature Strat and a Gibson Les Paul Studio with Suhr DSH & DSV pickups really sing ... great job guys I am a customer for life.
