I grew up around horses and raised horses but I have never actually seen one being born I've seen the horse being its sack still but that's it :) this made my day. Next time, sir, help it sooner. That was kid of ignorant on your part, but I can understand why y'all didn't wanna bother with it. Props to y'all being so calm :)

I love horses, i have witnessed a live birth at my cousins farm, she gave the foal to me, Aphrodite is wonderfull and very beutiful I am glad the foaling was a succes

My only comment... shouldn't she have been on straw when foaling? I heard foals shouldn't be on shavings for the first few weeks due to infections of the shavings getting in the foal's nose and getting breathed in and such. Otherwise, beautiful video

@blackraven495 Both are doing well. The foal is a standardbred race horse. Train down and made it to the track, just wasn't fast enough.

I also love how nobody is helping this horse because she doesn't need the help. She had a very quick and natural birth with no human interference. You should help when she needs help. Horses have been giving birth in the wild since the beginning of time without help. Instinctively they give birth in the middle of the night when no one is around. Allow nature to do its work without interference.

If I'm not mistaken, it can actually be a rare occurrence to see a horse (amongst many other animals) give birth when a lot of people are around, the reason being that they see humans only as a distraction or even a threat to their young (depending on who's present).

I love it! I grew up on a farm and there was nothing like seeing the horses, goats, and cows give birth. Being a mother myself now of 3 and getting ready to have another, I think birth is beautiful whether you are human or animal.

The colt starts breathing on it's own when it's chest is free. The foal had the sack covering tit's nose and mouth, when this guy saw that the sack was being drawn into the colts nose and that the mother was still resting he should of broke the sack not five min later.
