For your information,Brazil is a mixture of people; Portuguese, Africans, Dutch, people from Spanish origin and Indians (and since the world is becoming smaller there are even more different origins). Brazilian music is a mixture of all these different nationalities and evolved into their own style. I myself might look white but I have African and Italian (Brazilian) and Dutch origin. I might look white but I think I do know how to dance. Quite dumb to make assumptions as ''white cannot dance.''

Before you claim zouk, do you research because zouk has nothing to do with Brazil or Lambada. You might want to "google" the best zouk band ever, "kassav". Which were the pioneers of zouk music and are also responsible for bringing it mainstream.Brazilian zouk! Lambada zouk! Come on.. In Trinidad we have soca and calypso music, hopefully I don't hear about brazilian soca or soca lambada.

You CANNOT mention the word zouk without africa or the french and creole speaking islands of the West Indies. That's like taking salsa music which is from Cuba and me as a Trinidadian taking it and saying "now we have a Trinidadian salsa. That just does not make sense.

Zouk music is from Martinique and Guadeloupe. I'm sure it was influenced by our African ancestors that settled on the islands of the Eastern Caribbean. Cape Verde which is in Africa makes zouk music.They may speak portugese but they're African. So,I see how you can assume or be mistaken that this is a brazilian thing because they speak portugese. How can you use the word zouk and say not "not the African or French one".
