  • The guy in front's knees are too far forward (past his toes) and his pelvic bone isn't tucked (butt sticking out/back arched), but otherwise a good example of the exercise.

  • Isnt the point of Mabu to root yourself? What use is rooting if you jump all silly like that?

  • Every style of kung fu uses mabu for stance/rooting training (as you know). Baguazhang develops ones rooting by moving (waliking); in this particular style, by jumping as well. I have seen the monks of shaolin temple (on video) jump up stair in mubu with weights on their ankels.

  • @Kormiku mabu movements. Why can't you root even if u're moving?
