there was a lot of time and thought put into this. I happenned to look up information on the meaning of the diffrent rose colors and I saw these terms apprection beauty, i was like omg he did his research he must really love this woman and she deserves it!!

By wasting 6 months of savings in a day? The guy's not a millionaire, he's a Home Depot employee. He's not "unselfish", but she's going to get the shock of her life when they join up bank accounts and she realises he has no concept of prioritising his spending.
Actually, he proved that he can save money when needed (how many people do you know that actually save money and not use credit cards and run up debt?) . He also proved that he can provide if needed, and that he can plan ahead. and sacrifice for the future, putting all immediate wants and desires aside (I actually know people who know the guy so this is true)... to me this is a positive-the glass is half full, not half empty but we are all entitled to an opinion.
Also, if I am correct, he had a very good position with Home Depot- I think he is an accountant but my memory is a little hazy on what my friend told me -he was making a decent wage. Besides, I work not only to pay my bills but to enjoy life as well... and you do not have to be wealthy to rent a couple of hotel rooms for a once in a lifetime event. To me this was a beautiful act...
