Secondly, peer reviewing journals would be moot, since AA theorists believe one side and the mainstream group believes in another, so each side would try and counter the other.

Peer review journals are there for that reason: testable data on a scientists theory/hypothesis. The only way peer review journals are moot is for the side making a claim to not have evidence to back it up, otherwise it's claim on faith.

@NotForHire42 Many conventional beliefs are held on speculation, i.e. what the pyramids were used for, or how certain structures were built. It goes both ways.

And if you wanna know some names, I suggest watching the actual episodes, which I hope you have already at least a bit. I can't remember any besides a woman named Sara Seager who is an Astrophysicist at MIT I think.
