military family? I noticed the blades in the frames. Got a military uncle and he's got the same, plus old Raj era rifles and shields mounted too. anyhoo...tc.

anyway...glad to meet another bird lover! BTW... do you like crows and ravens? Most women I know hate them.. but I like them. Some might say they are ugly... but they are smart, loyal to each other and into their families. :) Anyway... take care!

that's awesome! Can you cuddle then like cockatoos? This breed of macaw? Is he/she friendly with lots of people or only one? Really cool bird!!

She is very friendly with me but suspec of other people, but I think they can be quite good with a few people.

thanks for the reply! I love your bird. I am wondering if I want to get a cockatoo or an African Grey or a Macaw. African Greys are the boffins of the bird world, but I hear they can be anti-social and hyper-sensitive... Are parrots more high maintenance than dogs? I eventually want a room sized aviary next to a glass french window some day, and have some great parrots in there! Ofcourse they'd be welcom inside too... but I'd want them to have their own place too. What about keas??

I would deffinately say they are more high maintenance than dogs! they are basically like small children, they need and demand constant attention and stimulation otherwise they can get behavioural and mental problems. She is deffinately a full time job! Affrican greys are the most intelligent especially when it comes to talking I believe, dont know a lot about cockatoos but I hear they can be even louder than macaws.

beautiful parrot! i have always had birds but never a parrot. they are so pretty and intelligent. actually looking to get my first parrot soon..any tips??
