also never ever put a tac light on a sniper. especially in the darker maps. the laser sight is ok just remember that you have it, again on the darker maps. if you are looking to kill them faster try aiming at the center of mass your bullet will do more damage.

it depends on what type of player you are. if you are used to playing with weapons that get alot of head shots maybe. also have paitence, even though the gun is accurate it takes awhile to get used to the down curve of the bullet at long range.

If you are in the situation, instead of using the right thumbstick to adjust your scope, move around to get your crosshairs on the target. You will be harder to hit and it is easier than trying to perfectly move the screen around to get on your target.

i usually an recon im only like lvl 13 and have the sks i sometimes use engineer but thats only if tanks are annoying me. but any way i find it is better to just stay out of combat when using a bolt action and just snipe from long distance but if forced shoot for the body then pull out the pistol it could be the difference between a good K/D or a bad K/D and remeber there is bullet drop in bf3 so dont just drop ur scope after you shoot watch the bullet and see where it lands then if needed reaim

@nomis095 try using a rifle scope because it has mil-dots, take a shot at a wall or something at about the same range most the enemies r at and don't move your scope till the bullet hits and see where it hits the wall on ur scope reticle and put that spot of ur reticle on the person to hit them, if that makes any sense to u, u might have to adjust that s bit, a ballistic scope works ok 2 with a bipod, but I prefer the rifle scope( more mil-dots)

@Nomis095 I find that leading the target helps, and always steady your rifle before making the shot. Also, equip a bipod. And for long range, make sure you have a high vantage point, where your back is covered, by either boundaries, walls, or even claymores or motion censors. I always am a recon sniper, and I level up quite a bit using these techniques.

1.Never use the BiPod: It's use doesn't even nearly make up for the fact that it can rarely be used, and you can end up placing it when you don't want to.

You said for highrange, be at a HVP,but thats wrong,always be at a HVP,in fact,when using a semi auto, it increases your chances tremendously.

heres another way when your using a bolt action rifle i would shoot someone with yours pistol two times and then switch to your bolt action rifle and that would finish them off.

@theagemon5 you need to upgrade your cpu to i5 second generation, or i7.... you also need 64 bit.... and for a GPU i recommend getting a Nvidia 560ti for getting 35 fps... or a Nvidia GTX 590 or 80 which ever you want but the 590 is the best

It's actually more fun too...The classes balance the gameplay to play out more like a game of chess, especially with the Rush and Conquest modes vs COD's only fun mode (team deathmatch). COD=checkers BF3=chess. I like both games so this is an honest comparison in the mentioned areas.
