  • can you play online?

  • @E45ADY I never had a problem with any game on my mac. I just finished Fallout 3.

  • do u know where i can still get this 24 inch imac

  • on what settings did you play this ?

    low/med/high ?

  • @3SnakeSolid probably high. even my mac mini runs this pretty damn good on med/low settings (like 40 fps)

  • 9,999 views.....LOL

  • Whats your prefrences?

  • How did you film this looks like the camera was right on your face lol

  • Hey, ive got the ultra new imac 27 zoll. And GTA IV Runs with 50Fps

  • wow, the gaming performance was great! I can't wait to get an Imac

  • yaaay for high def porn

  • how can i play window games when i have parallel desktop 5.0? Please help...

  • @mzeliseee I wouldn't recommend Parallels Desktop for running games like this; Boot Camp would be much better suited simply because it has access to full native speed, full RAM and all VRAM on your system.

  • man you are SOOOOO right!

i tried to run Half-Life 2 and Left 4 Dead and it wasnt horrible but the frame rate sucked eggs.

when a boomer comes in things just go bad...

  • Get BootCamp, not Paralels :) though Parallel's is good with gaming you just gotta instal the game :/

  • Waw having a big screen like that is awsome

  • they hsve to put this game on ps3 i have a mac btw too. (iMac)

  • which is better. hd 2600 pro 256 mb? or nvidia geforce 9400m gt 256 mb?

  • The HD 2600 is better because it has dedicated memory; the 9400M borrows memory from the system RAM, thus slowing performance. Nonetheless, the 9400M is still a great card; I run TF2 on it all high and it runs really well.

  • Looks great. Adds confidence in me running L4D on my Mac.

  • How well do Window's Games run in bootcamp on an iMac???

  • same as it would on mac osx

  • You Are Francis ;]

    I WANNA GET THIS iMAC ! :D

  • please tell as how to instal l4d on a iMac

  • Bootcamp lol read the description :p

  • In order:

    Bootcamp > Steam > Left4Dead > Play.

Install Steam and Left4Dead after getting Windows running in Bootcamp, and after that you should be fine.

  • i want this, but i got some questions, can you like play with a ps3 controller?

  • works with 360 controller.. donno about ps3

  • how do you get sound on it because now since an update i can't get sound on bootcamp btw its vista

  • this game looks effin scary I LOVE IT

  • It has something addicting about it... you always wanna play it again

  • How many frames per second were you getting with that game? Better than 60? Because it looks pretty smooth.

  • I usually get 39 - 64 fps on this game with vsync off, I have the Same hardware as him besides the ram (2GB)

  • i play this on my macbook pro running in xp in bootcamp, and i usually get around 70-90 fps. theres a youtube video that teaches you how to do this trick with ur processer that makes you get 20-40 more fps.

  • cool, could you forward me to that video? :O

  • Do you need to join Steam to play online?

  • Yes.

  • ok.

  • how much fps do you get????

  • I have the same imac. But I have only 2GB RAM. Do you think it will be runing on my mac ?

  • Windows 32bit can only recognize 3.35GB ram anyway, it'll run as smoothly as that one does.

  • how do you have a core 2 extreme?

  • Hey i just brought the same imac except with a 320gb hdd and 2gb ram, the video card is a little weak in my opinion but its one fast machine and well worth the money

  • does it really make a difference when upgrading the ram to 4

i mean if i played the game on the original 2gb ram

    will it lag or something...

  • i dont think so but maybe a-little

  • It wont lag once everything is fully running but load times for maps and so forth will be alot faster if you had 4gb as appose to 2gb

  • Having 4GB of memory is usually pointless unless your running a 64bit OS.

You will never really need anymore than 2.

  • leopard is 64bit

  • This is running XP natively.

  • im just saying why there IS 4 gigs

this mac isnt used for ONLY xp

  • Yeah I get that, I think I was said it because someone didn't know how Windows handled memory, seemed to think that 4GB would make a world of difference...

Although it doesn't really make a difference in 64bit either...

  • Which version of XP is running?

  • Does it matter? They're all the same speed. Or do you mean which service pack?

  • _could you please post the settings in game.

Like do you have V-sync turned on?

    AA? High shadows etc.....

    Thanks in advance

  • Is there much lag when playing this in boot camp? Cause it looks like it has some lag but it might just be the video.

  • No lag what so ever, I was very pleased with how it played.

  • Well then I have to say I am amazed! I am starting to regret my Dell purchase now... I mean if you can get amazing performance like that out of a Mac that's running in Boot Camp, why would anyone even have a need for PC's anymore?

I bought a PC with the thought in mind that it would be better suited for games... but I was obliviously wrong!

  • You should have made a custom PC, if you wanted it for games. Much cheaper than a dell or a mac.

My PC cost £400 in the UK when a standard mac is £1100.

  • Yea but you get a solid OS with a mac and amazing quality in hardware.

  • But the OS is subjective; I think Vista is an incredibly good OS, it's got everything I need.

Plus I have very high quality hardware for almost 1/4 of the price of a standard mac.

I'd much rather have my PC, but it's up to you.

  • is boot camp a free program?

  • Yes, it comes with Mac OS X Leopard and allows you to run Windows on your Mac.

  • @marklocker bad thing is that Windows isn't

  • oh, thanks for your help, i was trying to install vmware fusion, and it diddnt work, so thanks for showing me the bootcamp.

  • Its free... but your still going to have to buy the windows for it...
