I would suggest...as a Nero user and I have been using the Nero 10 since it came out..plus the previous versions....ConvertXtoDVD4. I can't say enough about this....Set up the sound for 5.1 surround and the 16:9 and that's it!!! It's saved...it'll create chapters automatically, burn with Nero quality sound and picture...it's unreal!!! AND in 45 minutes as apposed to 1hr 25minute or longer like Nero....If you add menus to Nero it's even longer...ConvertXtoDVD4....45 minutes!!!. FROM QUAGMIRE_626

yeah, that's the best, I had nero. it sucks, takes way to long for me, with convertXtodvd it only takes aboout 35 to 45 mintues to burn a full movie to a dvd, and it works perfectly...

Very much two separate drives. You can burn a CD in a DVD burner, but the reverse isn't true. You can only burn a CD in a CD burner.

One or two braincells revived and I tried Nero 9. I can't get it to work. I can't get anything to work. All I want is what seems a simple task of transferring videos to dvd so I can play them on my tv.

Roxio is the Vista of burning software. Nero is just popular but it's bloated with loads of unnecessary features. I suggest Droppix Recorder. It sports a sleek UI and features which only apply to buring. There's no audio or video editing suite or extra crap features you obtain from 3rd party software.

I use nero to burn my tv and anime shows onto a dvd and it works fine as long as the video is error free. For the people who are having their sound out of sync here is what I did to correct it: avi>dvd use another program to convert it to mpeg2, then that should solve it. To prevent nero from making coasters burn your project onto your hard drive, then if it's fine, burn to dvd. I create a DVD9 with nero, burn to HD, and burn DVD9>DVD5 with 1click dvd copy pro.
