The fear over being called a 'poseur' in out generation (metaldom) is quite common. I think you (tcd) are particularly under-estimating diversity and inherent subjectivity within one's own particular tastes. Technically, one can be a 'metalhead' (if there is really some 'standard' by which this is to be established) and yet not like X band.
