So, according to the ad, Christians are being persecuted... for not being allowed to practice intolerance and hatred? It's easy to imagine integration as the subject in the classroom, rather than gay rights. The commercial would read exactly the same. Gay students do not ask to be celebrated, only allowed to exist without being picked on and bullied for being what they are. I have seen the original video. The original was done with every intent to lie about the way the DOS takes place. We don't force people to participate, We don't shun or look down on straight people. That's what the Church does to the LGBT community. The original video promotes the Hatred of the LBGT community which is what the DOS is trying to prevent.

On a side note, I think more and more straight people will see that they have been fearing gay people because they don't know much about homosexuality, and with understanding, they will see that being gay is just another form of the love that they experience themselves as straight people.

I can't see a concrete reason why homosexuality is a bad thing, it's really just indifferent.

Is it necessary to choose between love and tolerance? Is it asking so much that every child be allowed to exist in peace, without being harassed and tormented by other students? How can anything less than compassionate behavior be considered Christian? Even if a person chooses to equate a teenager who is gay with an alcoholic or an adulterer or worse, where in your bible does Christ preach hatred and intolerance? Seems to me I recall a passage ending with "and the greatest of these is love."

You are right. As Christians, we are taught and empowered by Christ to LOVE...the word "tolerate" really doesn't have a place in my life when dealing with others; a homosexual individual or my own husband. I also know that the gay's sin is no more wrong than my own. Christ died for all; that is the gospel.

Truthfully, Christians should be angered when gays are harmed (i.e. Matthew Shepherd) but no more than if the Christian is as well; thats happening more and more too ALL around the world!

I just wonder if the school board where this school is located knows that this hate mongering association used their property to promote such bigoted views? If I were involved with the school used in this video in anyway what-so-ever, I'd demand it's immediate removal. This video is so wrong on so many different levels (the original, not Sean's).

As a mother of 4 sons, and a practicing person of faith, I am shocked and offended by the "Dare to Stand" video, who were too cowardly to allow open commentary on their offensive video. It justifies bullying and violence in the very public schools my children attend. Mother Teresa, whom I dare say, lived a more Christian life than most anyone else currently living, was once asked what her response to homosexuality was. to which she responded,"Jesus told me to love, not to judge, so I love them"
