@AstonMartinFan100 - this is real play. here's why:

1. he did have to retry a few times to get this. green shells can be dodged, red shells can be blocked, bolts or blue shells really depends on luck when they come

2. once one becomes decently good at the game (he's much more than decently good) with drifting and MT's, not too hard to build big leads

3. 150 cc + barrel train can get that on straight paths

4. that's only decent, especially with what time trial times go to

if any of you guys dont know. to get blue sparks to boost, you drift and go side to side with the joystick, and it will go, Yellow Red Blue and when its blue let go of the drift butn and you will get a boost, thats how i do it :)

On waluigi, how do you blue smoke through the sludge, like in the beginning of the race when you go on the side of the ramp? Seems impossible when I try, I cant even pickup good speed let alone a blue smoke....action replay???

No it's definitely possible to do legitimately. You need to do do consecutive mini-turbos or else, like you said, you loose a lot of speed.

I use the SAME exact people :) I do it so my friends can't get the 3 shells and when they get infront of me I just destroy them >D haha! Anyway I have to say Koopa and Paratroopa's special is in my opinion the best (and my favorite XD) because you can get it in any place (Unlike the babies special which you have to wait for until like 7th place -o-), and it's useful to like block bananas, red shells etc. and just for beating on people ^^.

I personally enjoyed Mario Kart 64 than this it looks like the formula just got ripped off for some of the maps like the first course for this cup is practically the same as Toad's Turnpike from I think it was the flower cup. I don't know maybe because I just am a school person but hey that was where the action was at back then so yeah thank you for posting your mario kart videos always nice to see some nice raw video game footage now and then.

im kinda new to MKDD cause i got the game last year in november and snaking isnt that hard as many people say, but every time i´m about to get a good run on a cup i allways end up getting hit by 1000 red shells, lightning bolts or spiny shells (blue shells) and bam there goes my chances of getting a good run. the only way to make the turbo blue fast is,turn the concele stick left fast as this <<< or right like this >>> and the turbo will turn blue.I did this once and won the race all the time.

they require so much skill, they are easy to do!!! and wavedashing is a skill that helps a little, snaking is a skill that helps alot and just takes the whole point out of the game in my eyes.

i think its better to get weapons and fight your way to the top than to snake through a whole level being first all the way through.

dont get me wrong snaking is useful to unlock items etc. but if your not doing that i think it takes alot of the fun out of the game!!!

i personally cannot snake for my life, but i use normal tactics and i can still beat my friends. snaking isn't as important for winning as some think. you win with skill, not tricks, but if you can combine both, you win.

same thing in ssbm for me. i use mario against my friends' marths and falcos, but i beat them consistently. complain all you want about snaking and wavedashing, but both are nothing if you can't use your head.
