The fed makes money on all ACH transactions, which are used to pay merchants for purchases. Using gold or bartering with goods and services are the only ways to beat the fed.
I dont think using credit cards will defeat the Federal Reserve because for example, when a company pays you, the check is backed by Federal Reserve Notes. Also, companies take the debt in credit and invest it in securities. The only way to strengthen the dollar is stop government spending.
Enforce the Constitution in our own lives and that will make a big difference. This battle is not one that can be won as an organized and recognizable enemy of oppression. Every American must take an individual stand. Don't use banks. Don't treat credit as thought it were money. Don't buy what you don't have cash to pay for. Debt is slavery.

The last two posts obviously do not understand what is going on. This country is using tax payer dollars to buy up bank/auto debt. The only problem is, this country is nearly $10 TRILLION in debt! Therefore, the country is absolutely broke and to pay for the this bad debt, the Treasury prints up new money. This "new" money is then added to our national debt and slowly but surely will cause extreme inflation and the devaluation of your money. Not to mention, bailouts are unconstitutional.

Ron Paul is being intellectually dishonest. The money isn't coming "out of thin air" or "from the printing presses", those are just lame political talking points akin to Obama's "Hope and Change". The Federal Reserve is selling treasuries and borrowing from elsewhere.
It's pretty obvious that Ron is an MD and not an economist. Paul needs to go do some pap smear.

The sell of treasuries has slowed from last year while the monetary base has more the doubled from last year. What does that mean? The "printing presses" are running wild!
If the Fed is borrowing the bailout money from elsewhere, why hasn't the more than $1.7 trillion in new "loans" they have given out for the bailouts showed up on the national debt? Answer: They are printing the money and causing runaway inflation!

Current US National Debt at time of this posting $10,667,542,367,281.32 (10.6 trillion bucks). $34,000 for every American, increasing at $10000 per second, or 3.8 billion dollars a day (google "national debt clock" and refresh your browser to see it climb). If this were a single large stack of 1 dollar bills all put on a football field, the stack would be 22 feet deep across the entire football field. This is the legacy of current gov and fed policies, and it's only getting deeper.

And yes, I'm PAINFULLY aware of the state of affairs in the world. It's sad that with this brilliant internet, television & other technologies, we concentrate and ABUSE these with the trivial entertainment & diversion. We could employ these so wonderfully to educate & enlighten. Well, perhaps, this is what WE'RE doing. :o)

actually the reason we are seeing the crash is because the clinton administration pressured Fannie Mea and Freddie Mac to allow easy credit. If you do some research you will notice your democrats are not as good as they seem. Im not a neocon but I am a fiscal conservative. We should let the market regulate it self, and if we changed our monetary system to a commodity based system we would have an economy built on capital, not easy credit!

Au contraire. Many people can vote for Ron Paul. He is on the ballot in Montana and Louisana and California write in votes will be counted. Even where there are Diebold and Sequoia machines, in many states and precincts, lots of voters have the option to demand paper ballots. If you can vote for Ron Paul, DO IT. I already have, and my vote will count. If you actually cannot vote for Dr. Paul, the pick one of the third party candidates; but if you can, Dr. Paul is easily the best man for the job.

Those who are determined to write in Ron Paul instead of voting for the Man Ron Paul endorses (Chuck Baldwin) are making a huge mistake!
If you write in Ron Paul, even if half the US voted for him, the media's never going to report it because he's no longer a candidate and will not be in the statistics, so your message is lost which defeats the whole purpose.

Normally I would say write Ron Paul in when you vote, but since Ron Paul is't running anymore and has endorsed someone very close to his ideas, that said he would make Paul his Treasury Secretary you would be foolish to not vote for Chuck Baldwin if you like Ron Paul.
If Ron Paul didn't endorse anyone then I would say absolutely write Ron Paul in, but since someone has a chance to win that Ron Paul supports strongly, then it would be a total waste to write in Ron Paul and not Chuck Baldwin!

Ron Paul should be president. I don't even like republicans but he make sense. He's a liberal conservative.

hes a constitutionalist, his views of government reflect that of democratic-republicans and Jeffersonian more than any other political organization, he is a true conservative... not the illusion of liberalism vs. neo-conservatism the media and other politicians paint for us... he is a true statesman
