Great rhyme scheme on this one, Lynn. Despite the slow, melodic flow, the rhymes keep the song's momentum moving forward.

I think you could have made the final chorus a sing-a-long. The lyrical story is very easy to follow and is memorable after the first or second time through. Had you changed the strumming at the end to simulate a drum smacking on the downbeat it would have lifted the song into a wonderful chorus-type feel. Chorus as in many voices, not the song structure, of course. :)
