what if i have the avg 2012 free edition installed and used it instead of downloading the malwarebytes? should i still go and download the malwarebytes?
if you need a quick fix, i just had this yesterday, download malwarebytes, its just a trial but it got rid of this fucking shit in like 10 minutes....hopes this helps!

@4LazyMe I can't restore, the only program I can open is firefox...if I try to open anything I get the "Win 7 Home Security has blocked a program from accessing the internet." When I click "No, continue unprotected," it just closes. In short, I can't open any programs, except for firefox.

When a virus infects your computer it corrupts and takes over system files that your computer knows to be safe...now if you did a system image and restored your computer with an image that is different. But if you get a virus and restore your computer to a week ago good luck i guess

What I recommend for everyone to do after having done said instructions in this video is download CCleaner and do a cleaning scan of your computer. Also, for people who can't or couldn't open their command prompt, I recommend doing the notepad on another computer and put it on a flash drive and drop it into your infected computer's desktop.

Hey everyone! If you have this virus, it prevents you from opening your .exe files. If you really need to, right click the program and click "Run as administrator." That should let you run your antivirus programs.
I discovered the program that was causing it. It's hiding in your personal folder (the one that's named after you). It's going to be a randomly named 3 letter .exe file. HOWEVER, deleting the program will not get completely rid of the virus. It is also infecting your REGISTRY. I used CCleaner to scan my registry, and I managed to get rid of the virus. Thank you everyone for your helpful comments!

lol I think i temporarily removed it, I ended a process after going into task manager, and on a website it said it will show itself as a 3 lettered .exe, like iuj.exe. I deleted the process and my firefox started working after a minute... I think this is a temporary removal.

This worked great. I couldn't open the command prompt or notepad on the infected computer. Instead I created the notepad file on a different computer, placed on a thumb drive, and dropped onto the desktop of the infected computer. This worked out really well. Thanks!

Just had this happen to me. If you are having difficulty opening any sort of window, all I did was restart the computer in safe mode WITH command prompt (on the same screen where you would select "start in safe mode.") Once the command prompt appeared, I typed in rstrui.exe and hit enter. That started the system restore that I was unable to begin due to the virus restricting the opening of new windows. Cured the computer. Hope this helps!

@TheReporterDude Well, Win 7 Security is not actual security. If you payed for that code, then you just got scammed. All these "Viruses" that Win 7 finds, aren't actual viruses, and if you delete the files the Win7 says are infected, you're actually just hindering windows ability to function. Just to reiterate: Win7 is NOT an anti virus software, Win7 IS the virus. Their goal is to get you to pay for it, as you can see if tried to install it. Mssg for questions/help.
@McEpicZ I did not pay for it.people found activation codes and i used one of them. I put the code in them and i was able to use my internet again. I did not purchase anything. And my real anitvirus removed the win 7. I have not heard from it ever since.

@MethodX18 If the anti virus is preventing u from getting on the net just open task and look in one of the tabs and click end task to any three digit .exe for example dlw.exe or gle.exe (any 3 digit because its different from everybody) if you close the right one it should let u go on the net

He said," mcafee sucks", and prescribed an antivirus program called titanium(i might be wrong) and sent me on my way. I had to pay for the new program, but it works better than mcafee. Also, its ok to click on the ok button for the prompt. It wont harm your computer anymore than it already is. Dont go to dell.com because they will charge you a butt ton of money to get it fixed.

Hey thanks so much! This method works everyone! If your infected computer can't access the internet, make sure you download the file through another computer and save it on a flash drive. Same goes for the notepad file. If you can't open notepad, copy and paste the text on another computer, and save it onto the same flash drive.

To remove this fake antispyware on Acer I pressed during windows starting F5 and F10
It took me straight to Starting windows repair.
Widows start repair actually wiped this garbage. Fake antimalware was completely gone. Computer works perfectly.
Then to format I pressed Alt and tapped F10 (as option could be pressed just f5)

What I recommend for everyone to do after having done said instructions in this video is download CCleaner and do a cleaning scan of your computer. Also, for people who can't or couldn't open their command prompt, I recommend doing the notepad on another computer and put it on a flash drive and drop it into your infected computer's desktop.

Hey everyone! If you have this virus, it prevents you from opening your .exe files. If you really need to, right click the program and click "Run as administrator." That should let you run your antivirus programs.

I discovered the program that was causing it. It's hiding in your personal folder (the one that's named after you). It's going to be a randomly named 3 letter .exe file. HOWEVER, deleting the program will not get completely rid of the virus. It is also infecting your REGISTRY. I used CCleaner to scan my registry, and I managed to get rid of the virus. lol I think i temporarily removed it, I ended a process after going into task manager, and on a website it said it will show itself as a 3 lettered .exe, like iuj.exe. I deleted the process and my firefox started working after a minute... I think this is a temporary removal.

This worked great. I couldn't open the command prompt or notepad on the infected computer. Instead I created the notepad file on a different computer, placed on a thumb drive, and dropped onto the desktop of the infected computer. This worked out really well. Thanks!

Just had this happen to me. If you are having difficulty opening any sort of window, all I did was restart the computer in safe mode WITH command prompt (on the same screen where you would select "start in safe mode.") Once the command prompt appeared, I typed in rstrui.exe and hit enter. That started the system restore that I was unable to begin due to the virus restricting the opening of new windows. Cured the computer. Hope this helps!

@TheReporterDude Well, Win 7 Security is not actual security. If you payed for that code, then you just got scammed. All these "Viruses" that Win 7 finds, aren't actual viruses, and if you delete the files the Win7 says are infected, you're actually just hindering windows ability to function. Just to reiterate: Win7 is NOT an anti virus software, Win7 IS the virus. Their goal is to get you to pay for it, as you can see if tried to install it. Mssg for questions/help.

@MethodX18 If the anti virus is preventing u from getting on the net just open task and look in one of the tabs and click end task to any three digit .exe for example dlw.exe or gle.exe (any 3 digit because its different from everybody) if you close the right one it should let u go on the net

@TheBulldoggboy Nope. I went out to best buy and a guy from geek squad fixed it for free. Took twenty minutes. He said," mcafee sucks", and prescribed an antivirus program called titanium(i might be wrong) and sent me on my way. I had to pay for the new program, but it works better than mcafee. Also, its ok to click on the ok button for the prompt. It wont harm your computer anymore than it already is. Dont go to dell.com because they will charge you a butt ton of money to get it fixed.

this is the real way to get it off i am a computer wiz. see i just got this virus a few days ago, and all you have to do is go to all of your folders go to computer os.c drive users you users app data and local files and it should be called trojan doa.exe virus but you cant delete it because it is being protected by a anorther file so if you have antimalwarebytes you pin it to the tasksmar then you will be able to open it and run a scan then you can delet it by going to ap data and local file

Hey thanks so much! This method works everyone! If your infected computer can't access the internet, make sure you download the file through another computer and save it on a flash drive. Same goes for the notepad file. If you can't open notepad, copy and paste the text on another computer, and save it onto the same flash drive.
