i got 2 of these mowers exacly the same as yours for $25 and they just need some carby repair im working on the first one and i already got it working but the throttle is unatached so when i started it it just go full throttle so thx to this video i can fix it !!!!!! ill post a vid soon on it
ohh u mean that three prong piece has to go the other way around. My throttle is not smooth either so ill flip that piece around tomorrow and give it a go. Hope that fixes my problem.
hey wheres the magnetos on these and how can i get to it? I picked one up off the street and the spark plug cable is way to short. I tried soldering on a new one but without any luck. Are the cables replaceable? Can i just unscrew it out and replace it or do i have to replace the whole mag? Please answer me asap as a lady wants to buy it off me in like 2 weeks so i need it working by then. Cheers.
The magneto is under the aluminium flywheel, under all the plastic. Unless you can extend the cable you will have to replace the whole thing. are you sure it doesnt work its pretty rare that the magnetos break?
the cable has been cut and is like 5cm to short. Extending it doesnt work, solder doesnt stick to the cable very well. Ive soldered on a bit of speaker wire but now im getting no shock out of it at all even if i hold the cable. So the cable wont screw out of the magneto like some other mags or arent u sure? I wanna get a spark!!! I soldered on a speaker cable before and it worked, now after the carby rebuild it wont spark. I thought it was those kill switch things in the carby but it isnt.
What i would do is get a sharp knife, peel back some of the black insulation about 15-20mm then get some more insulated wire , twist the two together and use heat shrink tubing to make them never come apart. On the end that connects to the sparkplug join on one of those circular clips which can then be just put through the spark plug top.
Hi,I was wondering, people tell me you are supposed to run a lawnmower at full throttle when you use them,I have always ran mine at a little more than Idle and never ever had a problem,Do you know If this hurts the engine In any way? Thanks
nice one..although the diaphram is in the wrong way..you wont get any throttle responce with it installed this way.

I know what you mean. I do the same thing, i think its like that so if you are cutting really thick tall grass you can use it at full throttle.

No it wont hurt it as long as its cuttin right you will be ok. You might wanna let it run full throttle every now and then to clean it out...
