A little too melodramatic. Lots of added slides and vocal retardations that didn't seem to enhance what Hundley had already so beautifully written. I think the best performances of this piece are more simplistic. You can tell she's a great performer though.
@SerafinaLily9 Sometimes slides and retardandos make the vocal performance possible. Do you know how hard that is to sing? I've sang it, and most of the song is placed in the hardest part to sing, and she does it just wonderfully.
Nice performance. Be careful that the triplet rhythms on "years run out" and "foot or by sky" don't come out like syncopated rhythms. This piece would be easier for you to sing if you and your pianist felt it more in two than in four... Watch the intonation on the Fs (in the G-flat key) at "no one can wait forever" - they were slightly under.
Good presentation. Some people make this too "sad" and it's not. It's more matter of fact, i think. Almost like an invitation. Great voice, too. :)
