@tyoungos What are you talking about ??? (and 18 thumbs up ???) Of course Persson is old, but he is still, i think the top 30-40 of the world and plays very well. So he's obviously good for more than doing promotional (although he's doing promotional).

But you're right at one thing: He's technique looks really a little bit like forrest Gump (you could say also, that Gumps technique looks like Perssons, because Persson of course were playing tt, before the film comes out)

If you knew what you were talking about you would know who the top player in your own country is and who represented Sweden at the European championships just now and beat Suss, Saive, and Gardos there. He also beat Ovtcharov and Kreanga earlier this year. Gerell has been playing in the Pro Tour and German Bundesliga for the last 5 years, he's no amateur.

Gerell is rated higher, he's doing better now than Persson, that's why Persson is retired and just doing promotional type stuff like this. He's 43, he's old and not as good as he used to be, hardly any sport has athletes competing too long after 40.

And yes, I'm an amateur table tennis player, I'm not personally sponsored or paid to play. I just play at a couple clubs, at tournaments, and am the head of my college team.
