The reason it doesn't sound right is because at South Park studios, they probably have a really good sound engine to modify it, and you are probably using a really cheap voice modifier, with pitch bend on. So don't diss, he did actually try.

this is some dumb stuff, matt and trey's voices are much lower then the ones put into the episodes, they are put through a program that speeds them up, plus makes them sound more, kid-like. This video is the chipmunk option. Also, when matt and trey can no longer make episodes, there can be other people who can talk similar to them and the computer can match them with the episode voices, just like the simpsons, these shows will live on for at least 30 seasons each, South Park lives on.

Just load up the audio file in Audacity, chose the area that should be affected, go to effects and adjust pitch. In South Park, they re-adjust the pitch to be 25% above the original recorded voices for certain characters.
