Hi there, I had a similar experience with cheap low quality Chinese screw drivers and such tools. I guess you get what you pay for; I doubt they'd break so fast if the price was considerably higher and still Chinese made. I purchased a bike for $100, it was awful, one pedal broke while I was riding and still it was stolen in that shape. Then I got a much better Chinese made bike ($360) and I put on 1300 km on it without a hitch or tune up.

Chinese tools are, at best, designed for light use. That bit in a hand screwdriver would be lost before it broke. Put it in even a low power drill and bam! - breakage. China makes some decent stuff, but their tools, with FEW exceptions, absolutely suck. Ditto Taiwan.

Take a stroll through Lowes or Home Depot sometime: it's an effort to find items like this not made in China. You'll know when you've found better stuff because it costs 2-3x as much.

First off thats not a drill bit its a screw gun Phillips tip and you need to use a #2 for drywall the one you are using is a #1 this is smaller and doest fit the drywall screws tight enough so they strip. Anyway no mater where they are made they all eventually strip out. Try drywall nails if the screw gun thing isn't working out for you. 2 1/4 in the lids (ceilings) and 1 3/4 in the walls, make sure you use a drywall hammer as to get the proper indentation mark for taping.
