  • Wow!! Thomas has come along way.. You have done a great job! My son is 11 and non verbal after years of therapy but a happy child. Thank you so much for your video

  • Thanks so much for your kind words and thanks so much for watching !

  • OMG...Thomas is a beautiful child. Your video is really beautiful, and Karen Carpenter's voice in the background just makes me boo hoo.

I am glad to see the eye contact and social interaction that Thomas has. I am very curious as to you stating that Thomas is non verbal at the age of 8 years old. I face this question, and the reality of it every day...just when do you know or decide that your child with ASD will most likley be non-verbal the rest of their life?

  • Hi and thanks for the lovely comment, Thomas is 10 now and what they call non verbal because although he can say somethings he still cannot have a conversation with you but will use the odd single word, he is also learning basic sign language which he is doing well with, i have now faced the reality of Thomas never talking properly but using basic single language and signs, but i also love in hope that he will one day be able to talk to us and at least tell us how he feels, Thanks for watching !

  • Hi Angie,

Thanks for the response. So Thomas is now 10 years old and still non-verbal so to speak. Some children with ASD can go thru speach thearapy for years, and yet they still do not get the "inner brain" connection to let them speak..this is what puzzles me so much about the ASD diagnosis. Gee, I have watched this video 6 times this morning, and I can tell that Thomas has so much spark and energy coming from his eyes..he is gonna talk one day!

  • Wow 6 times ..glad you liked it i have a video called Thomas we love you..its a tear jerker so i'm told ...and i do think one day he will find his voice and shock us all x

  • Very, very beautiful!!! You did a fantastic job! My daughter Ivy is 13 and is also non-verbal, due to severe Autism. Thank you so much for this video and for helping others to understand that these children are in fact, just that-children...with feelings like any other. God bless you & your Thomas and Kylie and keep the videos coming!

  • Thanks for your comment it was beautiful ...best of luck to you and your little girl .

  • dat wuz cool

  • Thanks Hun x
