First thing that popped in my head for 40k was orks. The squigoths, have one of them instead of center legs & have the outer legs have wheels on the bottom.
If I were rich I'd do it but, at several hundred per gargantuan squigoth, it's a way too much.
Really like the idea. Not too crazy about the legs though makes its seem a little top heavy. What about using centipede style legs that were on the Clone Troopers' mobile heavy artillery. I think they were called SPHA-T walkers. These walkers are in Episode II taking down a Trade Federation ship trying to take off from Genosis. Also, I think it would be cool if one of the pieces was a mobile repair station for large vehicles like AT-TEs.
May I make a suggestion though? For the ammo dumb vehicle(s), you either wanna do something that can zip around to whatever mobile building that needs it, or each mobile vehicle have its own ammo cache. Only reason I suggest this is because it might be trouble some if you run out of ammo and your ammo cache is half way across the battle field...Not a good thing. :D
i could see this on some sort of Beach attack... the long legs made me think of it. like wading up onto the shore raining hell on the enemy. and as for using in game. perhaps making it like a 'flat titan' (40k) but make flat surfaces so that models can board and fight... essentially making it terrain but with guns and various equipment. another great idea from the power of Bill 8D
its called a monolith
