@shorty1k how can you make it move around and not have it stuck somewhere spinning its wheels? by putting it on the floor turning it on and running behind it with a laptop wired to it!
@jason123456789210 you could either get a really long chord or you can convert a rechargable battery pack to work with it and use the usb to charge it. Depends how deep you want to get into this project. I just did this because I liked the lights and wanted it to work without batteries.
I did something like this once, I had a battery powered alarm clock so I turned it into a usb clock and plugged it into my Wii as it's on standby all the time so the clock wouldn't re-set. Nice work. (By the way it's not on stand-by for no reason, it's Wiiconnect24 for getting mail and stuff).
it's really pretty simple once you learn how usb power works. Go on wikipedia and find a usb wire map, then simply take apart whatever it is you want to be usb powered, then trim off the wires that would connect to a battery and rehook them to the usb wires that control power.
