The only reason people enjoyed this performance is b/c they know how the studio version is supposed to sound like, so the music playing in their heads makes up for this pitchy, awkward performance with a lot of yelling and camera angles not looking at the main performer for more than 5 seconds b/c nothing she's doing is very interesting. As much as I love Rihanna's voice, the song material is great, the band is great I wouldn't have released this concert performance as her voice is not in top shape, I wonder at what point she was in the tour as far as her voice goes. The pacing is good, the costuming is so-so, her performance seems a little "wooden". Have to wonder if releasing this was more of a corporate decision than an artistic decision.
