  • ive been skating for 5 years i have now landed axel, double flip . xxxxx (:

  • How old was Rachel at the time? Just curious :)

  • Is your coaches name Julie? She looks farmiliar to me

  • Congrats (:

  • I feel like that's a weird way to go in to an axel

  • nice!!!

  • I don't like that entrance. You will limit the size and flow of the jump and the possibility of a 2A someday. Success is good but is poor technique really worth it?

  • @RandyGla what do you mean just because she took 2 steps first? i don't think it makes a difference

  • @RandyGla A lot of skaters start out using that entrance when they first learn the axel. It isn't bad technique and it isn't going to inhibit future progress. All the coaches at my rink start their skaters with that same entrance and gradually work up to back crossovers into the axel as skaters become more comfortable and more consistant with the jump.

  • Good job!

  • i just started skating about 6-7 months ago and i am going to learn an axel next week!!!

  • @katrina07532 i have been skating for 10 years and i just learned my axel

  • u have the sane problem I do- breaking forward at the waist when u land. mine is so much better now tho

  • that's a really good axel. Did you learn it that day? Geez. I'm impressed.

  • gooooood!

  • at the time about 8 months

  • @tikiscott 8 months? I didn't get to that level for 5 years!

  • that was really good. just for future reference, try keeping ur posture straight. u tend to lean forward and thats y the landing is not perfect, yet. just keep ur frame position up right and ull b perfect! btw how long have u been skating?
