@1x9z It's in October because they're still filming season 2! They've only just started recording episode 10, and the special effects have only been 100% finished for the first episode. I know this from tweets from the SFX guys and actors on Twitter (verified accounts, so the source can be trusted).

@TopGunProductions People (myself included) dislike stargate Universe because the previous shows like SGC and Atlantis were so much fun to watch. We want to like it but it's so dreary and Robert Carlyle is such a waste of space,. I think this could have been a good show but they decided to make it crap instead, its like a Soap opera full of dreary Characters. No adventure, no camaraderie and no fun. It's just not Stargate what a waist

It actually is stargate.. its just not the same type of SG were used to. So what if its not as fun. Its realistic.. its dark, its gritty, its VFX are awesome, its characters are identifiable.

I still do miss the old formula, and I do hope to see the movies made, but that doesn't mean I can't enjoy SGU.

sci-fi by definition is to explore the human condition in other worldly environments ... not to blow up the regular weekly badguy with some kind of new technobabble! i loved SG1 and hated SGA for the same reason, because the creators of the show did the same with a new cast! its time for the SG universe like the ST universe to move on and grow!

as did TNG with TOS, SGU had at least a fighting chance to be a worthy advancement to SG1, instead it got cancelled! too sad
