Hi, good review. I also got the T240HD. The 260 was 500.00 cdn and I got the 240hd thats only 1.5 inches smaller on sale on boxing day sale for 289.00 cdn.
As for your pwer button, my 11yr old son figured this out....... dont touch the button but swipe your finger over the on button like a scanner and it will work every time.
Why is this guy saying it doesn't have an ATSC tuner? B/C he's in UK? In us this monitor has an HDTV tuner in it. I've heard it handles standard definition video very well.
i have the same tvmonitor (samsung t260hd), i never had any problem with the power button, and the menu is different and even the start up sound is different, i think you need to up date the firmware m8.
It does turn it off....i have this screen , and i turn it on/off with the touch sensitive button :S
You need to really use your thump or use your finger good..( first i didn't know it either...i thought only way was with the remote lmao) but i assure you i can turn mine OFF. and ON
Would you or anyone else use this as a primary tv in say their bedroom. I would put this at the end of the bed looking at it straight on,as the side angle viewing on these are poor.
The touch sensitive pad is probably sensitive to heat. It works best when you use the larger face of your thumb, instead of pressing hard with the tip.
HI mate, I can't thank you enough for a thorough review of this product. I'm in the market for a new monitor and have been eyeing this monitor but can't seem to find a thorough hands-on review on the internet. One question I wanted to ask is have you experienced any problems since your purchase? Looking to hear from you. Thanks again! Cheers mate!
I was hoping to see how it looks in Blu-Ray, gaming etc. and see if there's any input lag. You also mentioned that this TV has no HD tuner, it should do...
You just talked mainly about the inputs and outputs without giving us your verdict on it. You just ended up saying the model. ;s Not really an review, it's more of a preview.
I hated this video "review". If you can even call it that. What about PC use, gaming an FPS shooter, or watching a blue ray movie and even playing on console. I am going to order it tommorrow, but heard that HD model is not so good for gaming. You get dobble ms latency then a none HD vesion. But still I am going to try it out.
guys im planning to get either this one or the hp 2558hc.. w/c would u guys prefer? Im not a photo editor btw.. well at least not a pro lol..
what do you guys mean that this is only standard definition tuner? :( It says in the samsungs website that its HD .. Will i be able to watch HD (16:9 aspect ratio) with the help of cable for the coax?.. sorry im still new to these stuff.. thanks in andvance! I really liked the review! it was very informative! :) :)
I just took a random T2xxHD video, which happened to be yours.
I ordered the counterpart, T240HD which is all the same, just smaller, if anyone wonders.
I am happy with my purchase, and thanks to you, I barely had to read the manual to straighten up things.
FYI, I think it depends on the size of your finger, or the angle which you push the powerbutton. Mine doesn't act when I push it vertically with my thumb, but horizontally it does. Try it, mate.
Im looking at buying one of these. You said it does not have a HD tuner but a SD tuner. If i understand correctly this means i cannot receive HD stations off the air?
reminds me of National Lampoon's European Vacation when Rusty and Audrey are desperately searching for something to watch on UK television and they have a choice between cheese and snow : p
hey man the touch power symbol on the model was not designed to be touched by the finger vertically but only horizontally. It maay sound weird but its true...try it
Ok, so I got mine own T260HD. I'd like to note that the power button works PERFECTLY with me. It works acually too good. I mean it's VERY very sensitive. Also as a PC monitor is unbelievable.

yes, 16;10 just = bigger resolution
kozes 2 years ago
yeah but with only 120 more pixels those black lines will be quite small.

I want to use it as a Monitor Primarily, TV second.

so does the tv tuner allow you to get over the air stations without other connections or how does that work?

connect to an antenna and it should work nicely.
