Ok, play a game like Nexuiz or Halo 2 and you'll know. Saubraten is way too fast paced it needs to be slowed down, I understand that there are some good fast paced games like quake 3 and such but Sauerbraten takes it too far. Also there arn't enough weapons and the animations suck.

The graphics are great for being free. I made a doom 3 CTF map with this game. But the gameplay is horribly unbalanced and facilitates camping and spawn killing. Insta CTF about the only thing worth playing. Single player is terrible, but it's all about MP anyway...

i used to think my computer was too shitty to play any awesome games like this. but with the graphics turned way down low...sure it looks bad...but the gameplay is amazing!! (i cant even see the water) but it almost takes too long for some o the monster to die. and they come at u in like, waves of 10 or 15. the multiplayer compensates for that :D

where this game really shines is the map editor. the shooting side is a tad bit crappy, needs better guns and some smoother controls. but what i dont understand is that it ran great on my old, shitty comp., but runs like crap on my new computer. wtf?

thats always a problem, so people need to stop making a big fuss about it. The problem is, the game isn't up to date with your computer. its not about how fast your computer is, its about your computer's compatibility with the game, really. I guess just wait till the new version of sauerbraten.

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory is pretty good if you're looking for a good free class-based, objective FPS. I would also rank America's Army ahead of this and Battlefield: Heroes looks like it will be pretty good.

@xXxTMODxXx I remember you, you always use to freeze servers and destroy maps and didn't you tried teaching me how to freeze servers too now i make HACKS for games and i have to say Sauer and America's Army are the easiest plus you can't get caught on SWAT 4 ini editing. Amazing how many games you can hack.

I agree with you, this is the best freeware fps out there. ; ) It's too bad that you couldn't turn all of the settings on high, it looks so much better. :D I even made a map for Sauer.
