Racism is simply an ugly form of collectivism, the mindset that views humans strictly as members of groups rather than individuals.
By encouraging Americans to adopt a group mentality, the advocates of so-called diversity acutally perpetuate racism. Their obsession with racial group identity is inherently racist.
We should understand that racism will endure until we stop thinking in terms of groups and begin thinking in terms of individual liberty.
What does citizenship remotely have to do with POLICE BRUTALITY, RACIAL PROFILING, AND THE MASS HITLERESQUE INCARCERATION OF BLACK MALES IN THE UNITED STATES?
citizenship isn't race. he is right on it. we can't have foreigners born here and have their baby be automatically a citizen. it's wrong. citizenship should be earned at an appropriate age. ppl need to understand what being a "citizen" truly means. it's being abused and misunderstood. go read what being a citizen of this country means. and yes, illegals need to fuck off. we need to stop wasting tax dollars, my family came here legally and we are good citizens who support true American ideas
It does not even work in sports when you know the result of an activity three hours later.
See Rodman's career. He got disciplined often and did not even make it in the starting line up one day in the final for going out the night before! The Bulls won the game.
You do not have to hire the best elements to get the most successful group. There are many, many other parameters to look at.
There were also serious validity questions about the ratification of the 14th amendment. Some confederate states were FORCED to ratify it but there were no representatives from these states in congress. Ratification AND Representation are BOTH required by the constitution. In fact, I believe some states have passed bills officially questioning the ratification process and validity of this amendment.
What the heck are you talking about. Ron Paul has stated several times that he wants to remove Birth-Right Citizenship which IS part of the 14th Amendment. You can't CHANGE an amendment anyway, you need another amendment to do that. See Amendments 18 & 21 on Prohibition.
I heard him in an interview and I heard him say that it only applied to illegals. So yes anyone born of an American citizen in America is still a citizen. However, illegal immigrants cannot simply have children be citizens just by giving birth to them here. They need to become citizens first.
The quote above relates to providing equal liberty to every person, simply because they are a person. No person could ever provide that and still be a racist, by definition.
It's clear that you just dont' like Ron Paul, but pretending your dislike has something to do with racism is disingenous and irresponsible.
Austin NAACP President Nelson Linder, who has known Ron Paul for 20 years, unequivocally dismissed charges that the Congressman was a racist in light of recent smear attempts, and said the reason for him being attacked was that he was a threat to the establishment.
He put his name on it. Most politicians use writers, and when these articles are published under the names of the politicians, the politicians are considered to have authored them. Consider those words to have come straight from the pen of Ron Paul.
Or not - seeing as how he immediately corrected the inconsistency when made aware of it.
Ron Paul neither supported the comments nor ratified them. So in truth the comments were not his, as absolutely no claim, allegation, or offhand remark ever stated that Ron paul EVER agreed with the comments. And no Ron Paul did not put his name on it, someeone else did. That's why ratification is the determining factor, not your 'straight from the pen because I said so' standard.
So, do you take the content of Ron Paul's speeches with a grain of salt? Do you assume that they are not his own words, but those of a speechwriter? I daresay that 95% of Ron Paul supporters believe that Ron Paul is not a puppet for a collective of political consultants.
Yet, when it's exposed that Ron Paul probably authored some offensive tracts... the RP supporters change their tune.
Your facts are incorrect. Not even James Kirchik alleged that Ron Paul 'probably authored them'. In fact, the facsist in-training Kirchik himself implied that Ron Paul probably did NOT author them. So why are you claiming he did?
Have you actually ever truly listened to Ron Paul speak? I don't think you have; only ignorance can generate the conlcusions that you've proferred here. Go watch the Jan 5 (roughly) New Hampshire Town Hall meeting and come back and comment again.
The RP haters are pathetically trying to turn this into some kind of issue when anyone who has heard RP speak for five minutes can see he doesn't have a racist bone in his body. Then when they find out Lew Rockwell wrote 80% of RP's newsletters they say "yeah well he shouldn't have employed Lew Rockwell those many years ago." OOOOKKKK that makes Ron Paul just about as bad a guy as JESUS who took Judas for a disciple. That's the best the CFR Bilderberg supporters can come up with? SAD.
The debate over whether Ron Paul is a racist is over. The final decision? NO. He is not a racist by any means, and any person with 1/2 a brain cell would realize that. If some of you keep on insisting on making outrageous claims and accusations without a single shred of ACTUAL, Court-worthy, evidence, then trust me, your posts will be removed. I don't go to Obama's or Mccain's site making claims that are completely untrue, so I would expect you all to do the same.
” Racists believe that all individuals who share superficial physical characteristics are alike: as collectivists, racists think only in terms of groups. By encouraging Americans to adopt a group mentality, the advocates of so-called “diversity” actually perpetuate racism. You don’t have freedom because you are a hyphenated American; you have freedom because you are an individual, and that should be protected.” — Ron Paul
Your argument that Dr Paul is a racist holds no weight. He is for the defederalization of the drug laws that have incarcirated thousands of african americans on petty non-violent drug "crimes". Also as far as I know he is the only candidate who believes it is not his job to decide whether gay people can marry. So if thats being a racist or a bigot I dont completely understand the term.
Yea big racist! Even though he doesnt stand against gay marriage like all the other candidates. Even though he wants to defederalize the drug laws which currently incarcirate thousands of african americans for non-violent petty drug "crimes" Yep sounds like a racist to me...because CNN and FOX said so.
I wish I had a race.... I'm polish, german and russian. constantly at war with myself lol j/k
seriously... I do not see in my heart that Ron Paul is any way racist at all. What if it were pollocks instead of blacks? I think it would have been the same. It had nothing to do with skin color.
I am absolutely opposed to a national ID card. This is a total contradiction of what a free society is all about. The purpose of government is to protect the secrecy and the privacy of all individuals, not the secrecy of government. We don't need a national ID card.
You already have a national ID card you idiot! It's called a Social Security card.
The national ID card would just be a combination of the Social Security card you already have, and the passport or state ID you should probably already carry.
Ooooh! But it's got a scary RFID chip in it!!!!
Wear a foil hat. That will stop them from tracking you.
Ahh, but you're missing the point. You're not required BY LAW to carry any form of identification if you choose to do so. Unless you're driving, but that's really not for proof of identity, it's proof that you have a license to drive.
In the case of the Real ID, eventually, every person would be required to carry one in order to prove they're American, this is just wrong. The Nazis did the same thing, and our country definitely has no place for this type of action. "May I see you papers please?" Remember that line? Get used to it.
As for tracking me, that's not a problem. With satellites and cell phones, the government could easily track someone down if they weren't being careful. Our civil liberties are being destroyed, and you take it as a joke. In the words of Red, "Dumbass!"
His campaign goal of clamping down on illegal immigrants would require creating a comprehensive database of all the people in America eligible to work. Due to the importance of this database, it would be the most comprehensive, accurate database of people on the planet. Welcome to the National ID.
Well, you can be the first in line for your RFID chip, and can forego any expectation of personal privacy along with your acquiescence. If you don't stand up for a personal right, you lose the right. Permanently.
As if that isn't enough, this RFID chip has no legitimate use, whatsoever, except for tracking animals. So go mooo to someone else about how great an idea it is.
Oh and by the way, SSNs lead to more credit and electronic banking fraud than any other loophole. Idiot.
Tracking animals, and tracking their purchases, movements and interests. We are nothing but a herd of animals to be enslaved to Bilderberg, The CFR and the trilateral commission, the Rothschilds.
Hold on there. I'm anti-national ID. Ron Paul is anti-ID, too, but, he states that he's for enforcing employment laws against unauthorized workers. The only way to do this is to maintain a semi-public database of all eligible workers -- meaning, basically, every single citizen. Think about it. Ron Paul obviously has not.
The database is not the only way to do this. This is merely a preferred way for a fascist to do this - because the fascist is concerned more about *control* than liberty. It's time to turn off your television and start thinking independently. Go listen to RP speak at the NH town hall meeting - you'll find out that he rarely speaks about something he has not thought in depth on, and if he does he will always let the listener/viewer/reader know in advance.
Wow the best thing they can dig up on him is something that someone else wrote 16 years ago. Good job MSM! The guy wants to do away with a law that has imprisoned more african americans then any other law...sounds racist to me.
I don't believe that Dr. Paul is a racist. If I did, I would still vote for him. I trust Ron Paul not to force his personal beliefs upon me. He has something that no other candidate can truthfully claim - a long and consistent voting record of upholding our Constitution, which explicitly states that we all have a right to believe in and express whatever we please, as long as we don't turn those beliefs into criminal actions.
ballymo85...we did not immigrate to this country to chase the American Dream. When we arrived we had no American rights, we could not vote in American elections...in many parts of the country it was illegal for Americans to teach us to read and write. This is a few reasons why I call myself an African American.
I'm not dumb enough to "let it go". A snake is a snake. However, we (African Americans) are here to stay, we have no other country. We must be invested in the future of this country. Ron Paul is the only politician still in the race that has policy backing up his promise to enact "change".
Am not saying u should loose ur roll as american future am saying all the slavery shit should go and always remember Africa is still ur home America is a no man's home it's a promise land for all even indians
hunny I am with u and ballmo85, but think about it, if every culture left America.. and only the whites stayed( even though its not there land..) and was really selfish America would fall.. Africa which is our homeland, is the richest continent on the planet, its poor b/c it would cost too much to dig there..Asia has all the technology and the middle east has all the oil...you know..write back if you feel me!
You can link a lot of actually racist crap to every other candidate without the olympian level mental gymnastics it takes to convince yourself that ron paul has even one racist cell in his entire body
Dr. Paul seems to be a good, honest man... who is totally out of touch with reality when it comes to race. He makes it sound like racism was created by affirmative action and civil rights legislation!
What happened to the good old days of "rugged individualism" when guys and gals that looked like Dr. Paul could participate in genocide, terrorism, and apartheid...and get away with it?
He doesn't say that racism was created by government regulation, don't take what he says out of context please. What he's saying isn't that complicated.
Plus:Affirmative action does not end the problem of racism whatsoever, and for the whole of America, doesn't help that either.
Ron Paul is against any kind of prejudice though, calling it a closed minded form of collectivism.
After 200 years of laws that crippled us, I don't see anything wrong with a few laws design to help mend our wounds. Even the best medicine is not perfect.
Just remember the more they seperate us the easier it is to control us. Just look at the 2 parties filled with so much disdain for eachother. Aren't we all americans? Why cant we just pick the best leader no matter what party? O yea I forgot go back to my first sentence...
I think all of us who've been working against ronpaul can give ourselves a big hand now that the racist monster's campaign has gone into the toilet..no, cesspool where it belongs.
That's in response to the person who wanted left and right to unify. That sounds like fascism to me - a single party "democracy" where everyone "agrees" on a leader. Screw unity.
Left and right both worship at the feet of Rockefeller. Both agree that the media should fuel the BS WWF divide and conquer liberal vs conservative culture war. Both believe the constitution and bill of rights are quaint, outdated & that they should be subordinated to a totalitarian North American Union with NO civil liberties and taxation at 100%. The difference between us & Russia is we choose between TWO CFR/bilderberg predatory globalist paid actors in a rigged election instead of just ONE.
I see your point. But the point I was making was having the real people in this country who are affected everyday by the eliteist scum to unite. People vote for dem or rep and dont even know why. Bill Maher had a good show on last week asking people who and why they were voting and no one had an educated answer. The people in power have us right where they want us.
Maher is either really naive or totally complicit in the BS divide & conquer WWF Republican VS Democrat "other side of the aisle" partisanship liberal vs conservative propaganda campaign. To hear him talk Republicans are the enemy and we just had "one bad president." Does he really NOT KNOW that the clintons are CFR and Bilderberg? He NEVER mentions these groups who have controlled the State dept for decades.
Again you are missing my point. I was not speaking of Maher but of the people he was talking to. I agree with you totally. The parties are no different. We will have the same 2 families ruling this country for the last 24 years when hillary gets elected.
Have you read his campaign site at all? He says that the main cause of racism is "collectivism" and one of the ways government perpetuates racism is affirmative action (aka racial quotas).
Ron Paul is right that government perpetuates racism, but it's mostly using laws to perpetuate White racism against Black people. NOT the other way around.
There is alot of evidence that affirmative action and civil rights legislation do perpetuate racism, be separating people legally.
Only when humanity acknowledges that our rights come from being human not from being of a particular race (or orther collective group) can racism be destroyed.
Affirmative action and civil rights legislation are not perfect. But...think slavery, reconstruction, Jim Crow...this is America without civil rights legislation. We're not just talking about men's hearts, but their institutions.
"think slavery, reconstruction, Jim Crow...this is America without civil rights legislation." You seem to be well-intentioned, but this is an ignorant statement. Civil Rights legislation has no bearing on slavery or reconstruction. The 13th Amendment handled that. Jim Crow laws were based on prejudice, and that is only ended when the popular mindset no longer considers race as a way to legally or economically distinguish people. Only a free market can provide that.
If you read up on how some people write about school integration, social integration, busing, property rights for landlords, property rights for devout Christians, gentrification, school vouchers, and other contemporary issues, you'll see that the heart and soul of Jim Crow is alive and well.
There was proof that segregation, slavery, Jim Crow, and "Contracts, Covenants, and Restrictions" perpetuated racism, by separating people legally, and supporting three centuries of White Supremacy in state affairs and in the "free market".
Absolutely incorrect. There was proof that the minds and hearts of prejudiced individuals utilized "Contracts, Covenants, and Restrictions" as a means to perpetrate their prejudice. There is a massive difference. The answer is not in handing over all of your freedoms to govt, so govt. can pick and choose your lot in life. The answer is in curing the prejudice and fear of other humans from the hearts of men.
You talk about "freedoms", but those freedoms come at the expense of "unfreedom" for some people.
The most durable solution is to change the "hearts of men" to stop being racist, but, in the meantime, it's necessary to have laws that protect people from the *actions* of those not yet cured.
I, for one, hope every thug learns to be peaceful. But, until then, I still want the ones out there punished for their misdeeds.
"it's necessary to have laws that protect people from the *actions* of those not yet cured"
Criminal laws protect people from violent and fraudulent acts, regardless of motivation. That is the only role that government needs to be involved in. The rest, education, mediation etc., is always handled much more effictively in the private sphere. I.E. without garbage laws and garbage taxes.
Typically no. 'Best' is subjective. "Best" according to whom? becomes the prevailing question. If you define 'best' as the most efficient (promoting innovation and gradual decline in prices), then you must implement a free market. Only a truly free market can destroy prejudicial hiring. In a free market, if you hire only white people, and I hire the most efficient, blind to race (or other collectivist category) I will always put you out of business.
The only way for the prejudicial hiring entity to continue in a free market, is to have govt. step in and screw up the market. I.E., subsidize them, or restrict me from putting them out of business (e.g. market entry regulations, government sponsored monopolies, etc.). Keep govt. the hell out and efficiency triumphs.
Flawed. Businesses are groups of humans. It has consequences on the "only seeing individual society".
a is more efficient by 5 per cent than b.
Hiring b over a does not hurt automatically a firm. Especially if a can not find work elsewhere or can find work only in other field.
b is hired in the work field. a has to do the cab driving. Three months later, a has lost his competitive edge over b. Meanwhile, the group which hired b compensated for the slight inferior efficiency of b.
From his libertarian beliefs on keeping the constitution alive,Withdrawing the troops from a vietnam pt2,putting an end to the foriegn policy to further avoid and lessen confrontation with outside countries, abolishing the IRS and FEDERAL RESERVE,all while giving back to the PEOPLE,ultimatley restoring our constitutional values, are just some reasons you need to vote for Ron Paul AND NOT ANOTHER PUPPET this election!!!
Unfortunately due to the enormous pressure the system of white supremacy places on it's victims, many non-white males are forced to resort to crime for basic survival for themselves and their loved ones.
The only problem I have with Dr. Paul's Statement is that he did not attribute the destructive behavoir of non-white people to the system of white supremacy he so adamantly declares he wasnts no support from.
Only thing is, if it's statistically true that around 95% of black males are criminal or semi-criminal, then is stating so racist? Or just factual. I'm white, but I don't take offense if someone that's a different color says the almost all serial killers are white males, because it's statistically true, not racially motivated. Sometimes something can sound racist, but be completely factual.
And D.C., the city I believe he was referring to, does have a huge problem with crimes comitted by blacks, do to the way the government has completely destroyed the black community there. Even Dr. Paul addressed the topic of how the government encourages this type of thing to better keep control.
Just saying. I'm a firm believer that color doesn't matter when it comes to crime though. Hence I think Black-on-Black crime is completely counter-active. It's simply crime. They don't call anything White-on-White crime, or Asian-on-Asian crime, so why is there a need to classify it as Black-on-Black, that itself is inherently racist.
Fallenvirtue....according to the Justice Dept's Criminal Offenders Statistics, an estimated 32% of black males will enter State or Federal prison during their lifetime. A high rate but no where near 95%! Most of these guys are getting locked up for drug offences. Anyone who went to college knows the incredible amount of drugs that white kids use and sell, but law enforcement doesn't go after them like they do black kids.
Umm... the 95% was refering to the city of Washington D.C., not the entire country. Also, as said many times before, this is assuming Dr. Paul even wrote this statement, which so far, has been proven to not be true. Just as the New York Times' allegations were proven to be false.
I kind of think that affirmative action isn't that bad of a thing though because there's a history of systematic victimization & suppression of black people in the United States who originally were brought here as slaves so why should there not be efforts now to reverse some of the damage done? Whites benefit from the economy which was boosted up by this tradition of exploitation so really it is equal.
However I still support Ron Paul b/c he's better on most of the issues & his elimination of the fiat currency system & the drug war will help blacks as much if not more than affirmative action & welfare are now.
Pretty much my same thought on the issue, especially the dilemma over affirmative action and it's merit. I think it was needed, most definitely, to counter systematic racism as you said, to reverse damage done.
Good video. The accusation of racism has been used and it's pernicious. Scream "I'm not a racist!" and you legitimize the smear campaign. Anything less, and attackers say you're half hearted in your denials and not genuine. Ron Paul is nothing if not genuine, and he's not afraid to share hs beliefs no matter how unpopular. If he held racist beliefs, I think we'd have heard a lot more than some vague rumors.
NEO-NAZIS LIKE RON PAUL BECAUSE HE'S GOOD AT SELLING WHITE SUPREMACY AS A SOLUTION TO THOSE WHO HAVE BOUGHT INTO THEIR PARTICULAR BRAND OF HATE POLITICS.
In fact he's towing their line while u claim he's proving he's not racist...most people just don't recognize or understand neo-Nazi type of almost triple speak.
We have answered it, and it's a resounding NO. Unfortunately, no one listens, instead, they go and support Barack Obama, who'll continue this war in Iraq till at least 2013, push for war with Iran, destroy our economy and way of life, and slowly push our country towards losing it's sovereignty and Constitution.
I swear you have nothing good to say ever and maybe if you just took some time and did some research on things you might learn something and be able to debate and see the world how it really is without rose colored glasses!
You have no clue about me. I see great troubles in our country that started nearly 100 years ago that have yet to be conquered. I am wholeheartedly for a complete reform, but I am afraid that the chance that is upon us will be lost, although it is our best chance. The long-term effects of a presidency is what we need to look at. Reinforcing the constitution will save our liberties and return our security. This is the path to a positive future.
I have seen the long term effects of many many many presidents and none of them have been good. You can reinforce this and that and things won't change one bit but if you actually look around and realize that the world needs more than some tape over the problem it needs to fix the problem and no leader can ever fix our problems, we have to do it through autonomy and solidarity, voting won't change a thing!
If voting changed anything it would be illegal- Emma Goldman
I believe that all government is evil, and that trying to improve it is largely a waste of time. - H.L. Mencken
Anarchism, really stands for the liberation of the human mind from the dominion of religion; the liberation of the human body from the dominion of property; liberation from the shackles and restraint of government. - Emma Goldman
Then quit crying if nothing can be done! Just shut up, lay back, and die because nothing matters in your opinion. The rest of us will try to do our part in working for a better future. All I have to say it that if we continue on our current path, we will see thousands more Americans die and we'll watch our liberties die with them. The warnings are obvious. We either change for the better or we fail as a country.
I fight and what do I fight for: CHANGE! How do you get change by taking direct action against the tyrants meaning voting is not going to change anything and no candidate or politician can make things better than can only make it worse! It is up to us to truly fight like some of my ancestors did against the Europeans who set up these illegal government on their land to some of my ancestors who fought the Brits in Ireland and Scotland, we must fight!
I have done many office demos and home demos and some other stuff I shouldn't mention here! I also do stuff like Food Not Bombs which takes food that gets thrown out by this wasteful society and gets fed to homeless folks and anyone else who wants to eat, it is not going to change the world but it directly takes wasted food and gives it too those who could really use it and it also provides an opportunity for folks to get to know the community better!
You aren't getting food to people who are being bombed, so the two have nothing to do with each other. Why don't you join Meals on Wheels. It's the same thing and they're well-established. They just don't say "not bombs." I want to see you stop a bombing and feed the people who were going to get bombed. You simply refuse to believe the answer is right in front of your face. Personal freedom and an anti-war stance will ensure our future.
I don't think you understand FNB and the fact it is nothing like meals on wheels as in meals on wheels is more of a capitalist centric venture and FNB is a community based redistribution of food thrown out by capitalists. The idea of food not bombs is not stopping bombings but to say rather than fighting wars why not help people and give them food!
Yeah, honestly, if you want Anarchism so badly, then feel free to move out of the U.S., seeing as how we should be and will be a Democratic Republic. I feel truely sorry for YOU, as obviously you have no hope in anything good coming from a government by the people, for the people.
Why the fuck would I move I am not a defeatist lame-o like you voters are! Our country should be free and a republic or what you call a democracy (which is more like a oligarchy with a facade of democratic process) is not freedom and it will never be for the people by the people because it is not of the people and there is not a person out there who can represent me other than me and the idea that politicians are working for the people is false no matter what the politician says or does!
End of conversation. If you want no part in this government we have, THEN DON'T BITCH about and don't come up with outrageous lies about other people.
"DON'T BITCH" Don't worry I won't offend women and act like a sexist jerk by using in many cases a very offensive term. I find it also really funny that you gave up proving my point of you people being defeatist lame-o's! I personally want to have a part in this government, the part in which it gets taken down and the people take power and if you don't like that then move to Cuba or Iran because when your precious government is gone the people will have power not some fascist in a suit!
LOL. Yeah, definitely end of conversation. You're a psycho apparently, and think that everyone is out to offend you. You think people are uncivilized, yet you want a form of government that would allow those same people to lead by mob rule. You think that if anyone even so much as mentions a Democratic Republic, that they automatically support fascism, when the sad thing is, you support a form of government that would turn into a fascist state within a matter of days.
You play the victim, and yet are the one making all the attacks. You are a racist, a bigot, a psycho, and a fool, and also completely ignorant of it at the same time. YOU see things as though skin-color should matter, not me and Regress. You're so misled on so many subjects, and have no concept of what it takes to keep a country and economy alive. Have fun with that!
You see things as if POC haven't been oppressed for hundreds of years in this country and somehow everyone is treated equally but the truth is they are not and making sure that they are treated equally is important. Skin color shouldn't matter but we are in the real world and it sadly does and those who cannot realize it are living in some fantasy world. So go on with your lame comments as if you thought you knew how the world works but leave the workings of the world to those who understand it
I didn't say anyone was out to offend me but your comments are offensive BITCH is an offensive derogatory word towards woman and personally I find that when claiming to be for freedom and liberty using oppressive language is counter to your purpose! As for democracy the idea is not mob rule what we have now is mob rule but you wouldn't understand democracy because you seem to support what we have now!
YOU may use bitch as an offensive term towards women, but I use it as a term for whining. Which you are doing. See what I mean, YOU'RE the bigot. You're the one that automatically thinks the word bitch means a woman, not a female dog or another term for whining. Yeesh. So if I don't see thing as though color should matter, but you do, doesn't that mean you're the racist, not me?
Bitch is either an offensive word towards women that you might use as whining (still offensive no matter what) or it is a term for a female dog and I doubt you were talking about a female dog!
But where did it come from, people don't use bitch as in just to complain but to complain like a stereotyped female. Bitch (verb) came from bitch (noun) a derogatory term towards women so lets just face up to the fact that you have problems with being sexist as a lot of men do because that is just how they are socialized, and it can be unlearned and gotten rid of and you have to work towards that!
Great video! To those who think Ron Paul can't win quote Gandhi "first they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, THEN YOU WIN!" Help make Dec 16th Tea Party 07 a blockbuster and be prepared for stage 3.
Rated 76% by the Christian Coalition: a pro-family voting record. (Dec 2003) (an extremist christian right wing group founded by Pat Robertson)
Rated 100% by FAIR, indicating a voting record restricting all immigration. (Dec 2003) (a racist anti immigration group funded by the pioneer fund which studies eugenics and racial science)
Rated A by the NRA, indicating a pro-gun rights voting record. (Dec 2003) (the NRA supports giving guns to terrorists)
Let's see, Dr. Paul wants to ensure that religions aren't having laws made against/for them, which would make sense for the 76% rating. Paul wants to ensure our borders are protected and we fix the immigration problem, so a 100% rating is sensible. As for the NRA, of course they're going to rate Dr. Paul an A, seeing as how the 2nd Amendment is our right, and our way of protecting ourselves.
Though I do enjoy how much fun you apparently have trying to attack an honest man, you're not doing a very good job of it. You've not provided one single 'real' bit of evidence. The DailyKos article wasn't intelligent or well written, hence, we know it wasn't Paul who said that. Get a life, and instead of trying to take down the government, try instead to fix it. Seeing as how Anarchism would never, and will never work.
I feel sorry for you truely as you still defend Ron Paul and try and claim that reality is somehow false! You and your stupid system and your stupid politicians and bosses and leaders have all failed us and we can never ever ever ever ever ever trust them to fix anything or represent the people and by the people I mean all the people not just the rich and middle class!
I'm all for staying out of the Kyoto Protocol, seeing as how it really screwed the U.S., but not the big polluters like China and India. As for drilling in ANWR, I'd much rather have us get our oil through peaceful means, rather than waging illegal wars for them.
So slaughtering animals and destroying the environment just get a few drops of oil is ok? I don't ever remembering that was ok and it still isn't and will never be and if you are for freedom that means freedom for all and not just for a selected few as Ron Paul is about!
Also, do you drive a car? Heat your home? Eat food from restaurants? Not too mention all the other things oil is used for. If so, then you have no right to tell me how we should get oil. I'd much rather drill oil in ANWR than send our boys and girls over to another country and fight wars for it. There's many options I'd choose beforehand, but if done responsibly, drilling in ANWR is definitely a choice above a war, that destroys environments and animals a million times worse.
I don't drive a car don't have a license and don't want one, I also don't eat at restaurants much. But as far as oil is concerned why the heck do we need oil why are we destroying the earth for oil and why would we destroy a wildlife refuge to get a tiny bit of oil while destroying an important ecological system! We aren't in Iraq for oil, we are there for money and wealth and power!
I should also note that there is no responsible drilling in a wildlife refuge there is no way you can get the oil out of the someone elses land without destroying it big time. Drilling for oil is not just sticking a tiny hose into the ground it is a very intrusive and destructive process and the U.S. doing it will make it more so, what needs to happen is people need to stop consuming so much and use some solar power and ride a bike!
But if giving the choice of drilling our northern wilderness or killing thousands, which is better? Oh, that's right, we're not after Iraq's oil, right?
NEITHER! Do you not understand anything, we don't need oil maybe you have an oil fetish but we don't need to drill anywhere nor do we need to kill thousands!
This is what I'm saying, you just don't know me, but you jump so quick to make ASSumptions. I know we don't need oil, but we do use it. Now, answer the question.
I answered the question NEITHER! I will continue to have that same answer, we don't need oil and we don't need to use it and we don't need to kill anything or destroy anything for it! If you reread what I wrote I made it clear by using maybe it means I don't know but that is what it sounds like because you seem to love oil and want to keep getting it and pumping it through our veins rather than just detoxing it so that is why I said what I said!
I think for right now we should use alternative fuels but we should really look towards stop using all fuels! We are destroying the earth and we need to stop right now!
Racism is simply an ugly form of collectivism, the mindset that views humans strictly as members of groups rather than individuals.
By encouraging Americans to adopt a group mentality, the advocates of so-called diversity acutally perpetuate racism. Their obsession with racial group identity is inherently racist.
We should understand that racism will endure until we stop thinking in terms of groups and begin thinking in terms of individual liberty.

citizenship isn't race. he is right on it. we can't have foreigners born here and have their baby be automatically a citizen. it's wrong. citizenship should be earned at an appropriate age. ppl need to understand what being a "citizen" truly means. it's being abused and misunderstood. go read what being a citizen of this country means. and yes, illegals need to fuck off. we need to stop wasting tax dollars, my family came here legally and we are good citizens who support true American ideas

In fact, I believe some states have passed bills officially questioning the ratification process and validity of this amendment.
jbolyard 4 years ago
What the heck are you talking about. Ron Paul has stated several times that he wants to remove Birth-Right Citizenship which IS part of the 14th Amendment. You can't CHANGE an amendment anyway, you need another amendment to do that. See Amendments 18 & 21 on Prohibition.
jbolyard 4 years ago
I heard him in an interview and I heard him say that it only applied to illegals. So yes anyone born of an American citizen in America is still a citizen. However, illegal immigrants cannot simply have children be citizens just by giving birth to them here. They need to become citizens first.

Lew Rockwell was 80% the Ghost writer for Ron Paul's Newsletters according to a Ron Paul staffer.
blahinhawaii 4 years ago
He put his name on it. Most politicians use writers, and when these articles are published under the names of the politicians, the politicians are considered to have authored them. Consider those words to have come straight from the pen of Ron Paul.
wildgift2 4 years ago
Or not - seeing as how he immediately corrected the inconsistency when made aware of it.
Ron Paul neither supported the comments nor ratified them. So in truth the comments were not his, as absolutely no claim, allegation, or offhand remark ever stated that Ron paul EVER agreed with the comments. And no Ron Paul did not put his name on it, someeone else did. That's why ratification is the determining factor, not your 'straight from the pen because I said so' standard.
mclapper333 4 years ago
So, do you take the content of Ron Paul's speeches with a grain of salt? Do you assume that they are not his own words, but those of a speechwriter? I daresay that 95% of Ron Paul supporters believe that Ron Paul is not a puppet for a collective of political consultants.
Yet, when it's exposed that Ron Paul probably authored some offensive tracts... the RP supporters change their tune.
wildgift2 4 years ago
Your facts are incorrect. Not even James Kirchik alleged that Ron Paul 'probably authored them'. In fact, the facsist in-training Kirchik himself implied that Ron Paul probably did NOT author them. So why are you claiming he did?

The RP haters are pathetically trying to turn this into some kind of issue when anyone who has heard RP speak for five minutes can see he doesn't have a racist bone in his body. In the case of the Real ID, eventually, every person would be required to carry one in order to prove they're American, this is just wrong. Well, you can be the first in line for your RFID chip, and can forego any expectation of personal privacy along with your acquiescence. If you don't stand up for a personal right, you lose the right. Permanently.

Ron Paul obviously has not.
wildgift2 4 years ago
The database is not the only way to do this. This is merely a preferred way for a fascist to do this - because the fascist is concerned more about *control* than liberty. It's time to turn off your television and start thinking independently. Go listen to RP speak at the NH town hall meeting - you'll find out that he rarely speaks about something he has not thought in depth on, and if he does he will always let the listener/viewer/reader know in advance.

blahinhawaii 4 years ago

bgabbs69 4 years ago
Have you read his campaign site at all? He says that the main cause of racism is "collectivism" and one of the ways government perpetuates racism is affirmative action (aka racial quotas).
Ron Paul is right that government perpetuates racism, but it's mostly using laws to perpetuate White racism against Black people. NOT the other way around.
wildgift2 4 years ago
There is alot of evidence that affirmative action and civil rights legislation do perpetuate racism, be separating people legally.
Only when humanity acknowledges that our rights come from being human not from being of a particular race (or orther collective group) can racism be destroyed.
mclapper333 4 years ago
Affirmative action and civil rights legislation are not perfect. But...think slavery, reconstruction, Jim Crow...this is America without civil rights legislation. We're not just talking about men's hearts, but their institutions.
TheFilteredLight 4 years ago
"think slavery, reconstruction, Jim Crow...this is America without civil rights legislation." You seem to be well-intentioned, but this is an ignorant statement. Civil Rights legislation has no bearing on slavery or reconstruction. The 13th Amendment handled that. Jim Crow laws were based on prejudice, and that is only ended when the popular mindset no longer considers race as a way to legally or economically distinguish people. Only a free market can provide that.
mclapper333 4 years ago
If you read up on how some people write about school integration, social integration, busing, property rights for landlords, property rights for devout Christians, gentrification, school vouchers, and other contemporary issues, you'll see that the heart and soul of Jim Crow is alive and well.
wildgift2 4 years ago
You sound like a racist to me. Are you in some kind of group?
bgabbs69 4 years ago
There was proof that segregation, slavery, Jim Crow, and "Contracts, Covenants, and Restrictions" perpetuated racism, by separating people legally, and supporting three centuries of White Supremacy in state affairs and in the "free market".
wildgift2 4 years ago
Absolutely incorrect. There was proof that the minds and hearts of prejudiced individuals utilized "Contracts, Covenants, and Restrictions" as a means to perpetrate their prejudice. There is a massive difference. The answer is not in handing over all of your freedoms to govt, so govt. can pick and choose your lot in life. The answer is in curing the prejudice and fear of other humans from the hearts of men.
mclapper333 4 years ago
You talk about "freedoms", but those freedoms come at the expense of "unfreedom" for some people.
The most durable solution is to change the "hearts of men" to stop being racist, but, in the meantime, it's necessary to have laws that protect people from the *actions* of those not yet cured.
I, for one, hope every thug learns to be peaceful. But, until then, I still want the ones out there punished for their misdeeds.
wildgift2 4 years ago
"it's necessary to have laws that protect people from the *actions* of those not yet cured"
Criminal laws protect people from violent and fraudulent acts, regardless of motivation. That is the only role that government needs to be involved in. The rest, education, mediation etc., is always handled much more effictively in the private sphere. I.E. without garbage laws and garbage taxes.
mclapper333 4 years ago
So, suppose you're qualified for a job, and the best candidate, but they tell you that you're not... isn't that fraud?
LACountyFedOfLabor 4 years ago
Typically no. 'Best' is subjective. "Best" according to whom? becomes the prevailing question. If you define 'best' as the most efficient (promoting innovation and gradual decline in prices), then you must implement a free market. Only a truly free market can destroy prejudicial hiring. In a free market, if you hire only white people, and I hire the most efficient, blind to race (or other collectivist category) I will always put you out of business.
mclapper333 4 years ago
The only way for the prejudicial hiring entity to continue in a free market, is to have govt. step in and screw up the market. I.E., subsidize them, or restrict me from putting them out of business (e.g. market entry regulations, government sponsored monopolies, etc.). Keep govt. the hell out and efficiency triumphs.
mclapper333 4 years ago

Fallenvirtue 4 years ago
And D.C., the city I believe he was referring to, does have a huge problem with crimes comitted by blacks, do to the way the government has completely destroyed the black community there. Even Dr. Paul addressed the topic of how the government encourages this type of thing to better keep control.
Fallenvirtue 4 years ago
Just saying. I'm a firm believer that color doesn't matter when it comes to crime though. Hence I think Black-on-Black crime is completely counter-active. It's simply crime. They don't call anything White-on-White crime, or Asian-on-Asian crime, so why is there a need to classify it as Black-on-Black, that itself is inherently racist.
Fallenvirtue 4 years ago
Was it statisticlly true? I have a VERY hard time believing that.95% is simply immpossible to be statisticlly accurate.
cthulhucallsu 4 years ago
Fallenvirtue....according to the Justice Dept's Criminal Offenders Statistics, an estimated 32% of black males will enter State or Federal prison during their lifetime. A high rate but no where near 95%! Most of these guys are getting locked up for drug offences. Anyone who went to college knows the incredible amount of drugs that white kids use and sell, but law enforcement doesn't go after them like they do black kids.
TheFilteredLight 4 years ago
Umm... the 95% was refering to the city of Washington D.C., not the entire country. Also, as said many times before, this is assuming Dr. Paul even wrote this statement, which so far, has been proven to not be true. Just as the New York Times' allegations were proven to be false.
Fallenvirtue 4 years ago
I kind of think that affirmative action isn't that bad of a thing though because there's a history of systematic victimization & suppression of black people in the United States who originally were brought here as slaves so why should there not be efforts now to reverse some of the damage done? Whites benefit from the economy which was boosted up by this tradition of exploitation so really it is equal.
DaveIrie 4 years ago
However I still support Ron Paul b/c he's better on most of the issues & his elimination of the fiat currency system & the drug war will help blacks as much if not more than affirmative action & welfare are now.

Pretty much my same thought on the issue, especially the dilemma over affirmative action and it's merit. I think it was needed, most definitely, to counter systematic racism as you said, to reverse damage done.

Where would our nation be?
WE THE PEOPLE the SILENT MAJORITY must speak out and vote.
One voice doubled only 25 times is 16,777,216 that's the power of one voice.
I dare you to look into RON PAUL with an opened mind. GOOGLE Ron Paul

Fallenvirtue 4 years ago
I'm all for war with Iran, as long as we actually WIN it.

I swear Anokpoet is trying to be wrong; debating for the sake of debate rather than to learn.
RegressLess 4 years ago
I swear you have nothing good to say ever and maybe if you just took some time and did some research on things you might learn something and be able to debate and see the world how it really is without rose colored glasses!

You have no clue about me. I see great troubles in our country that started nearly 100 years ago that have yet to be conquered. I am wholeheartedly for a complete reform, but I am afraid that the chance that is upon us will be lost, although it is our best chance. The long-term effects of a presidency is what we need to look at. Reinforcing the constitution will save our liberties and return our security. This is the path to a positive future.
RegressLess 4 years ago

Anokpoet 4 years ago
Then quit crying if nothing can be done! Just shut up, lay back, and die because nothing matters in your opinion. The rest of us will try to do our part in working for a better future. All I have to say it that if we continue on our current path, we will see thousands more Americans die and we'll watch our liberties die with them. The warnings are obvious. We either change for the better or we fail as a country.
RegressLess 4 years ago
I fight and what do I fight for: CHANGE! How do you get change by taking direct action against the tyrants meaning voting is not going to change anything and no candidate or politician can make things better than can only make it worse! It is up to us to truly fight like some of my ancestors did against the Europeans who set up these illegal government on their land to some of my ancestors who fought the Brits in Ireland and Scotland, we must fight!
Anokpoet 4 years ago
I'd like to know what direct action you take.
RegressLess 4 years ago
I have done many office demos and home demos and some other stuff I shouldn't mention here! I also do stuff like Food Not Bombs which takes food that gets thrown out by this wasteful society and gets fed to homeless folks and anyone else who wants to eat, it is not going to change the world but it directly takes wasted food and gives it too those who could really use it and it also provides an opportunity for folks to get to know the community better!
Anokpoet 4 years ago
You aren't getting food to people who are being bombed, so the two have nothing to do with each other. Why don't you join Meals on Wheels. It's the same thing and they're well-established. They just don't say "not bombs." I want to see you stop a bombing and feed the people who were going to get bombed. You simply refuse to believe the answer is right in front of your face. Personal freedom and an anti-war stance will ensure our future.
RegressLess 4 years ago
I don't think you understand FNB and the fact it is nothing like meals on wheels as in meals on wheels is more of a capitalist centric venture and FNB is a community based redistribution of food thrown out by capitalists. The idea of food not bombs is not stopping bombings but to say rather than fighting wars why not help people and give them food!
Anokpoet 4 years ago
Yeah, honestly, if you want Anarchism so badly, then feel free to move out of the U.S., seeing as how we should be and will be a Democratic Republic. I feel truely sorry for YOU, as obviously you have no hope in anything good coming from a government by the people, for the people.
Fallenvirtue 4 years ago
Why the fuck would I move I am not a defeatist lame-o like you voters are! Our country should be free and a republic or what you call a democracy (which is more like a oligarchy with a facade of democratic process) is not freedom and it will never be for the people by the people because it is not of the people and there is not a person out there who can represent me other than me and the idea that politicians are working for the people is false no matter what the politician says or does!
Anokpoet 4 years ago
End of conversation. If you want no part in this government we have, THEN DON'T BITCH about and don't come up with outrageous lies about other people.
Fallenvirtue 4 years ago
"DON'T BITCH" Don't worry I won't offend women and act like a sexist jerk by using in many cases a very offensive term. I find it also really funny that you gave up proving my point of you people being defeatist lame-o's! I personally want to have a part in this government, the part in which it gets taken down and the people take power and if you don't like that then move to Cuba or Iran because when your precious government is gone the people will have power not some fascist in a suit!
Anokpoet 4 years ago
Fallenvirtue 4 years ago
You play the victim, and yet are the one making all the attacks. You are a racist, a bigot, a psycho, and a fool, and also completely ignorant of it at the same time. YOU see things as though skin-color should matter, not me and Regress. You're so misled on so many subjects, and have no concept of what it takes to keep a country and economy alive. Have fun with that!
Fallenvirtue 4 years ago
You see things as if POC haven't been oppressed for hundreds of years in this country and somehow everyone is treated equally but the truth is they are not and making sure that they are treated equally is important. Skin color shouldn't matter but we are in the real world and it sadly does and those who cannot realize it are living in some fantasy world. So go on with your lame comments as if you thought you knew how the world works but leave the workings of the world to those who understand it
Anokpoet 4 years ago
I didn't say anyone was out to offend me but your comments are offensive BITCH is an offensive derogatory word towards woman and personally I find that when claiming to be for freedom and liberty using oppressive language is counter to your purpose! As for democracy the idea is not mob rule what we have now is mob rule but you wouldn't understand democracy because you seem to support what we have now!
Anokpoet 4 years ago
YOU may use bitch as an offensive term towards women, but I use it as a term for whining. Which you are doing. See what I mean, YOU'RE the bigot. You're the one that automatically thinks the word bitch means a woman, not a female dog or another term for whining. Yeesh. So if I don't see thing as though color should matter, but you do, doesn't that mean you're the racist, not me?
Fallenvirtue 4 years ago
Bitch is either an offensive word towards women that you might use as whining (still offensive no matter what) or it is a term for a female dog and I doubt you were talking about a female dog!
Anokpoet 4 years ago
bitch: verb. to complain (Webster's)
RegressLess 4 years ago
But where did it come from, people don't use bitch as in just to complain but to complain like a stereotyped female. Bitch (verb) came from bitch (noun) a derogatory term towards women so lets just face up to the fact that you have problems with being sexist as a lot of men do because that is just how they are socialized, and it can be unlearned and gotten rid of and you have to work towards that!

Ron Paul is not for unions and has gotten poor ratings among the unions)
Voted NO on increasing minimum wage to $7.25. (Jan 2007)
Voted NO on $167B over 10 years for farm price supports. (Oct 2001)
Voted YES on zero-funding OSHA's Ergonomics Rules instead of $4.5B. (Mar 2001)
Rated 47% by the AFL-CIO, indicating a mixed record on union issues. (Dec 2003)
Anokpoet 4 years ago
Rated 76% by the Christian Coalition: a pro-family voting record. (Dec 2003) (an extremist christian right wing group founded by Pat Robertson)
Rated 100% by FAIR, indicating a voting record restricting all immigration. (Dec 2003) (a racist anti immigration group funded by the pioneer fund which studies eugenics and racial science)
Rated A by the NRA, indicating a pro-gun rights voting record. (Dec 2003) (the NRA supports giving guns to terrorists)
Anokpoet 4 years ago

Fallenvirtue 4 years ago
I feel sorry for you truely as you still defend Ron Paul and try and claim that reality is somehow false! You and your stupid system and your stupid politicians and bosses and leaders have all failed us and we can never ever ever ever ever ever trust them to fix anything or represent the people and by the people I mean all the people not just the rich and middle class!

Voted NO on criminalizing oil cartels like OPEC. (May 2007)
Voted NO on removing oil & gas exploration subsidies. (Jan 2007)
Voted NO on keeping moratorium on drilling for oil offshore. (Jun 2006)
Voted YES on scheduling permitting for new oil refinieries. (Jun 2006)
Voted NO on raising CAFE standards; incentives for alternative fuels. (Aug 2001)
Voted NO on prohibiting oil drilling & development in ANWR. (Aug 2001)
Voted NO on starting implementation of Kyoto Protocol. (Jun 2000)
Anokpoet 4 years ago
I'm all for staying out of the Kyoto Protocol, seeing as how it really screwed the U.S., but not the big polluters like China and India. As for drilling in ANWR, I'd much rather have us get our oil through peaceful means, rather than waging illegal wars for them.
Fallenvirtue 4 years ago
So slaughtering animals and destroying the environment just get a few drops of oil is ok? I don't ever remembering that was ok and it still isn't and will never be and if you are for freedom that means freedom for all and not just for a selected few as Ron Paul is about!
Anokpoet 4 years ago
Also, do you drive a car? Heat your home? Eat food from restaurants? Not too mention all the other things oil is used for. If so, then you have no right to tell me how we should get oil. I'd much rather drill oil in ANWR than send our boys and girls over to another country and fight wars for it. There's many options I'd choose beforehand, but if done responsibly, drilling in ANWR is definitely a choice above a war, that destroys environments and animals a million times worse.
Fallenvirtue 4 years ago
I don't drive a car don't have a license and don't want one, I also don't eat at restaurants much. But as far as oil is concerned why the heck do we need oil why are we destroying the earth for oil and why would we destroy a wildlife refuge to get a tiny bit of oil while destroying an important ecological system! We aren't in Iraq for oil, we are there for money and wealth and power!
Anokpoet 4 years ago
I should also note that there is no responsible drilling in a wildlife refuge there is no way you can get the oil out of the someone elses land without destroying it big time. Drilling for oil is not just sticking a tiny hose into the ground it is a very intrusive and destructive process and the U.S. doing it will make it more so, what needs to happen is people need to stop consuming so much and use some solar power and ride a bike!
Anokpoet 4 years ago
But if giving the choice of drilling our northern wilderness or killing thousands, which is better? Oh, that's right, we're not after Iraq's oil, right?
RegressLess 4 years ago
NEITHER! Do you not understand anything, we don't need oil maybe you have an oil fetish but we don't need to drill anywhere nor do we need to kill thousands!
Anokpoet 4 years ago
This is what I'm saying, you just don't know me, but you jump so quick to make ASSumptions. I know we don't need oil, but we do use it. Now, answer the question.
RegressLess 4 years ago
I answered the question NEITHER! I will continue to have that same answer, we don't need oil and we don't need to use it and we don't need to kill anything or destroy anything for it! If you reread what I wrote I made it clear by using maybe it means I don't know but that is what it sounds like because you seem to love oil and want to keep getting it and pumping it through our veins rather than just detoxing it so that is why I said what I said!
Anokpoet 4 years ago
I agree, it's something we need to rid ourselves of as soon as possible.
MCH1984 4 years ago
I know we don't need oil, but we do use it.
So you admit that we need to change to alternative fuels as soon as possible, then?
MCH1984 4 years ago
I think for right now we should use alternative fuels but we should really look towards stop using all fuels! We are destroying the earth and we need to stop right now!
