Hello, I hope it's okay that I use fragments of this film in a biology-presentation in my class next week. Very nice 3D models of carbonhydrates! Thanks for sharing knowledge :)
4:12 "Marine mammals such as seals, sea lions and walruses lack alpha-lactalbumin and as a consequence their milk is lacking in lactose and has a very high fat and protein content instead." (Wiley)
Watching these videos, makes it pretty clear, basically rebukes the outlandish thought, of every atom in our body being the result of exploding stars or that we are the result of that very first mud puddle...from nothing. To believe in evolution, especially after watching these videos, is like asking a demolitionist to be accountable for every dust particle from every job he/she does; ludicrous! Don't be deceived. God is very real. FREE eBook at (you are worth it dot com)
@BartsDentist yep..they are joined by condensation reaction..forming glycosidic bonds.i'm no expert. bt I can surely say it's condensation reaction.this guy said it's dehydration reaction. who's correct?
The video deals with sufficient amounts of content in an aesthetic and understandable manner, however I recommend that the speed at which words are said is slightly reduced.
me too, the words are so fast that i have to concentrate so hard.
if any thought no matter how small (such as the mental image of a rice grain for half a second) gets into my head, i lose it, then i have to rewind the video
@greatpacificmedia Man can engineer molecules! It shows how it takes INTELLIGENCE in controlled laboratory conditions to mimic, manipulate, plagiarize. Scientists COPY a set of genetic sequences!! They dont create anything! Its all Man made Synthetic chemistry!! and it has nothing to do with the origin of life! Yet there is no demonstrated source for such non-racemic mixture of sugars in any plausible pre-biotic environment. Homochirality is a disaster for any sort of naturalistic origins.
Is the effect of consuming too much carbohydrates the same as calories?

it's condensation reaction because it removes a water molecule. It's not dehydration reactions lol

Why does milk precipitate at pH4 without carbohydrates and does not precipitate at the same pH with carbohydrates?

It is always good to have a straightforward explanation of biochemical processes.

@isuwijez @bartsdentist A dehydration reaction is simply a condensation reaction where water is lost in the process of joining two monomers.
